'Say NO to Planned Parenthood President'

The Cardinal Newman Society’s petition launched on Wednesday morning — “Tell Georgetown: Say NO to Planned Parenthood President” — has gained more than 7,000 signatures in the first 24 hours from those concerned about Georgetown University's scandalous hosting of Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards next month.

Despite her responsibility for the deaths of more than 2.8 million babies at the hands of Planned Parenthood abortionists since taking charge of the organization in 2006, and her constant promotion of positions and activism that directly contradict Catholic Church teaching on the dignity of human life and on human sexuality, the student-run Lecture Fund at Georgetown invited Richards to address students and staff at Georgetown in April. The University defended the invite, citing Georgetown’s commitment to “the free exchange of ideas.” The Newman Society is calling on Georgetown to formally rescind the invitation to Richards, and restore its Catholic identity and fidelity, “which have been diminished and even scorned in recent decades.” More...
