I am sick to death of the double standard for conservatives and liberals. When Bill Clinton was using his power and influence to seduce interns and his wife was dutifully standing by his side, there was little public outrage or calls for him to step down. Impeachment hearings resulted in censure but not removal from his job.
I guess that's because it wasn't the Murdoch family making the decision and because he wasn't dependent on advertisers for his continued employment. Nevertheless, his treatment of women was disgusting and despicable. Worse, the rich and powerful support his Foundation and his wife's Presidential campaign. Corporations didn't distance themselves from
the Clintons.
I don't condone boorish behavior or the victimization of women. I just can't understand why some people are given a pass and some are hung out to dry. Where were all the women who are so up in arms about women's right and equality? Do they not see the inequality in their treatment of men? What makes Bill Clinton one iota better than Bill O'Reilly (if the accusations are true)?
One last thought, why isn't the media pointing out the hypocrisy?
