I recently received the email below from Ted Weiland wherein he exposes certain misconceptions which are commonly accepted as truth by many within the Christian Patriot Movement. Such misconceptions as the U. S. Constitution is a "Christian document" which espouses Christian values and concepts. Since he articulates here so well some of the same points I've raised on occasion, I thought I would just send his message on to you with a few comments of my own attached. Before doing so, I thought it only appropriate to contact him first.

In sharing a few thoughts with Ted I told him I believed we were, as the expression goes, "in the same church but on different pews." Although an increasing number of people are coming to believe as Ted says, that "it is incumbent upon every true Christian to work toward replacing the common law with Bible law." Such a transition is wholly unnecessary and even, by New Testament standards, unscriptural (at least within the context of the existing political structure). Besides, under the current fictional system of jurisprudence in this country, common law has no standing, anyway! For those who live and move and have their being in Christ and in His holy ekklesia (Acts 17:28), the Scriptures are already established there as the organic law of that Kingdom. That being the case, it is not the church's duty to restructure the existing secular government into something better than it currently is. Why should we... it's not our kingdom to restructure! Rather, our mandate is to "Come out from among them" and to be separate in every way possible from that inferior and lesser kingdom. In other words... just walk away! Kathy Lois and I started doing this ten years ago and, as many of you know, we're still walking... literally! This is the only way I know to be in the world without being of it. Sure it's not easy! But if you're serious about settling for nothing less than the actual and literal Lordship of Christ, I guarantee you the Father will move Heaven and Hell to make a way for you to do it. When Christ told Peter He would build His ekklesia on the revelation that He - the Lord Jesus - was the Christ, the Son of the Living God, that was a foreshadow of the Kingdom which on The Day of Pentecost became manifest among men. Well... that Kingdom is here folks... right now, it's here! All we have to do is walk in the reality of it. Certainly this is a "step further" approach beyond any efforts one might consider in thinking they could actually restructure the existing secular government. However, in light of II Corinthians 6:17, Revelation 18:4, and other related Scriptures, only one option appears for those who are seriously seeking Christ. Sojourning among a local community ekklesia was then, and still it to this day, the only model for the New Testament church government that God has given us - a government, we are told, that shall be upon His shoulder (Isaiah 9:6)... not the shoulder of secular humanism. Peace and blessings to you as you seek His Kingdom, William Raymond Pastor & ambassador for the Christ
