No one has adequately explained WHY Hillary Clinton used personal emails during her tenure as Secretary of State.

There's been some fancy footwork and halfhearted apologies but no explanation of the reason for her flouting of the rules. There is no rational person who believes she didn't know the rules. There is no question that this was not simply naivete on her part. On one hand she is billed as a shrewd and competent Secretary of State. On the other, a misguided neophyte. Both cannot be true. Additionally, the Clintons have proven themselves to be disconnected from the voters and to believing themselves above the rules that apply to the rest of the country. From that vantage point, the email story becomes easy to understand. Madame Clinton feels entitled to her own rules and writes them to suit her needs. The layers of deceit, the erasing of evidence and the defense of her own position signals to informed Americans that she is not someone who can be trusted to be honest with us if she were President. The real question is, why do Democrats feel otherwise? Arnold Avery Englewood, FL
