The Star Safety System includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)1, Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA)2 and Smart Stop Technology (SST)3.

One of the first vehicles to feature the Star Safety System as standard is also Toyota's most popular model - the 2011 Toyota Corolla, which goes on sale in January. In addition to the Star Safety System, the Canadian-built Corolla is significantly updated for the 2011 model year - with fresh styling, more standard features and updated options packages.
