Trump admin: nominations of appellate and district judges to be 'near monthly' event

As I've argued many times before, the Supreme Court was the real win last November. If President Trump were to be impeached tomorrow (he won't be, but if he were) the appointment of Neil Gorsuch would make it all worthwhile. Factor in the rumors that he'll get another bite at the SCOTUS apple this summer, and it's conceivable that a two-term Trump administration could see a total of four such opportunities. That's great news, because the judiciary is complete mess and Trump's list of judges is highly regarded among conservatives.
Since we know a lot about his plans for the Supreme Court, political watchers have been wondering what he has in store for the lower courts. The nation is currently staring at a veritable mountain of vacancies among the appellate and district courts. Right now, there are over 120 openings, with more on the immediate horizon. Has this mess been forgotten? ...Don't worry. According to the Trump administration, you're about to be very, very, happy. From the liberal newspaper of record:
Having filled a Supreme Court vacancy, President Trump is turning his attention to the more than 120 openings on the lower federal courts. On Monday, he will announce a slate of 10 nominees to those courts, a senior White House official said, the first in what could be near monthly waves of nominations. The White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II, said the nominations were a vindication of a commitment Mr. Trump made during the campaign “to appoint strong and principled jurists to the federal bench who will enforce the Constitution’s limits on federal power and protect the liberty of all Americans.” The administration continues to draw on lists of 21 potential Supreme Court nominees, put together with the help of the conservative Federalist Society and Heritage Foundation, that Mr. Trump issued during the campaign. But it is looking at other sources, too, the White House official said.

Constitutionalist judges are the key to the restoration of the country

Constitutionalist judges are the key to the restoration of the country, and it sounds like the administration iknows it. That bit of news should warm the heart of anyone who cares about the continued influence of our founding document. The appointment of strict constructionists may mean that conservatives - particularly social conservatives - may have to wave goodbye to a few of their sacred cows, but in the end, we'll all be in a better, freer, place. Overall, it will be a major net positive. Oh, and by the way, can we disband the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals while we're at it? Oh, we can? Thanks.
