Canadians shopping for vehicles that combine maximum utility and versatility with tremendous fuel efficiency and emissions performance turned to Toyota and Lexus in March. Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported strong sales of 19,792 Toyota and Lexus cars, trucks and SUVs - up 24.5% from March 2009. This included 18,489 Toyota models (up 27.2%) and 1,303 Lexus luxury models (down 4.4%).

"We sincerely thank our customers for their continued confidence in our Toyota and Lexus brands," said Yoichi Tomihara, President of Toyota Canada Inc.
