It's time to raise the bar on Republican obstruction.
The GOP’s stated goal is to destroy President Obama, and their weapon of choice is the Senate filibuster. This could all begin to change tomorrow when Democrats begin attempts to modify the rules. But they need to know they’ve got your support – and the support of thousands of other grassroots activists demanding change. Stand with Democrats to reform the filibuster.
Sign our petition. Stand with Democratic senators, and show your support for filibuster reform. The nation’s business shouldn’t be held hostage by GOP political games.
Republicans have filibustered 203 times since Democrats won the majority in 2007 – twice as often as in the four previous years.
It’s one thing for Republicans to oppose bills they fundamentally disagree with. It’s quite another for Republicans to block bills they’re on record as supporting – just to prevent President Obama’s success and try to poke Democrats in the eye.
Now Democrats have the best chance in years to change the GOP's business as usual, and they need your help.
