Who and What Really Caused the Economic Recession?

In response to people who blames the "Bush Wars" for the 2006 economic recession, I would say, that may be one factor but there is plenty of blame to go around.

The biggest single culprit in was the collapse of the housing bubble which was created by making it possible for people who couldn't afford home ownership to buy houses. As to which president has spent more money, does it really matter? We are in debt up to our eyeballs. What is President Obama's solution? Go further in debt. During his administration debt has continued to rise - rapidly. Wouldn't it be refreshing if, as he promised in his first campaign, we had a transparent system, sunsetting of laws, review of spending, cleaning up agencies and running things more efficiently? The real issue is that we are not dealing with our problems. Someday, probably sooner than later, the chickens will come home to roost. Stewart Andersen Englewood, FL
