Uphold and defend the principles of the US Constitution

One Man’s Constitution is Another Man’s Toilet Paper

For almost two and a half centuries, countless Americans have voluntarily served and died to uphold and defend the principles of the US Constitution. Throughout history; from the battles over the original 13 Colonies, to the beaches of Normandy, to the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan; millions of Americans have risked life and limb to ensure the continued survival of America. It is because of their continued sacrifice that our constitutional republic is the envy of the entire world, notwithstanding liberal Baby-Boomers, who, along with terrorists and rogue dictatorships, have grown up to hate it.

The three main tenets of our Constitution are that 1). Power flows to the government from the people; 2). that those people, in turn, receive their rights and power from their Creator; and 3). that powers not specifically delegated to the federal government through the US Constitution are expressly reserved for the people and their respective states, led by duly elected governors and legislative assemblies. But in spite of that history, liberals are now on the attack. Sensing their best opportunity to finally topple what they perceive as the unfair capitalist system in favor of a socialist dictatorship, with the help of unwitting guilty Republicans, liberals throughout government, academia and the media are attacking the very foundations of our nation. Our Constitution is now under withering assault by an entire generation of failed lawyers who grew up on far too much LSD. The sacred right of all Americans to free expression is under attack by the Obama Administration's Federal Communications Commission. At Obama's direction, the FCC is using the false pretense of increased diversity of expression; mandating increases in the number of stations owned and operated by women and minorities. But of course, with Barack Obama picking the winners, there is always someone who has to lose. On the chopping block is conservative talk radio, the only truly successful talk-radio format. The sacred right of all Americans to bear arms in defense of themselves, their family or their country is also, once again under attack. But sensing strong opposition from the NRA and Second Amendment supporters, the Obama Administration is using back-door, stealth methods such as "common-sense" regulation, restrictions on the number of guns purchased and even taking surplus military brass out of circulation to prevent or restrict sport reloading. Article 1 Section 2, which authorizes the Decennial Census is under attack, just as it was during the Clinton years. Our founding document clearly states that the count must be of "whole persons", yet every time a Democrat takes office, they attempt to rig the Census through the unconstitutional use of "statistical sampling", which is nothing more than fancy government guesswork. Article 2 Section 1 along with the principle of equal justice under law and the Obama Administration's own stated principle of transparency are all under attack by none other than Barack Obama himself, through his continued refusal to release his birth certificate and the squirreling away of other documents that may contain proof of his birthplace. Any lip service that Obama pays to transparency falls on deaf ears as long as he is paying attorneys to hide the truth and badger anyone who threatens to expose it. No amount of media denial or judicial interference will change that. His continued refusal to release proof of his birthplace is a legitimate and growing threat to this nation and our constitution. Everywhere you look, Barack Obama and liberals in Congress have their crooked little fingers in something. Every time I turn on the television, I see another cockamamie idea they threw against the wall to see if it would stick. Like making disabled veterans pay for their their own service-connected disabilities, taxing existing health insurance benefits or mandating universal coverage. It's clear Obama wants universal health care, but has no idea how to pay for it. Despite Administration rhetoric about the dire need for health care, large percentages of the parents of children eligible for SCHIP simply don't take advantage of it. As of 2005, of the total uninsured population of the United States, nearly 40 percent are individuals making over $50,000.00 annually. And as of 2005, among among those making over $75,000.00 annually, the rate of uninsured was 8.5 percent. At those income levels, health insurance is certainly affordable. Mandating universal coverage goes against every right of self-determination that we as Americans possess. Liberals fiercely advocate for the right to end their unborn child's chance at existence or their own right to take a lethal dose of doctor-prescribed medication when they feel like checking out, so it seems it bit inconsistent that they would then destroy that very system by mandating universal coverage that would further erode the quality of care for the rest of us. It is entirely un-American. Throughout the debate over the Troubled Asset Relief Program, politicians saw the Constitution as a mere obstacle. Although TARP was specifically written for banks, and although bailouts to auto companies were discussed, politicians specifically excluded them from the legislation. Yet here we are today, using TARP money to bail out the United Auto Workers. And the Supreme Court failed to stop them. The US Constitution has been so violently attacked, it is now nearly worthless. So weakened, that it now even applies to illegal aliens captured at the border or terrorists we capture on the battlefield. Not only is Obama giving them access to US courts, he has ordered that any captured terrorists be read their Miranda Rights. Our country is more divided than ever. There used to be a time when we could all agree on what the words of our Founding Fathers meant or what the meaning of "is" is. But these days, it seems that through the disease of moral equivalence infecting the liberal mind today, one man's Constitution has become another man's toilet paper.
