On September 24, 2009, President Barack Obama becomes the first American President to preside over a session of the United Nations Security Council. Obama chose the agenda --
and took Iran's pursuit of a nuclear bomb off the table.
The original UN staff document included
"nuclear non-proliferation - Iran" and
"nuclear non-proliferation - North Korea." But, Obama refused to name Iran and North Korea in favor of diverting attention to global disarmament.

...will focus on nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear disarmament broadly, and not on

We, too, are for world peace, but abstract discussions fail to address present death threats to the United States and its allies.
