imageOn September 24, 2009, President Barack Obama becomes the first American President to preside over a session of the United Nations Security Council. Obama chose the agenda -- and took Iran's pursuit of a nuclear bomb off the table.

The original UN staff document included "nuclear non-proliferation - Iran" and "nuclear non-proliferation - North Korea." But, Obama refused to name Iran and North Korea in favor of diverting attention to global disarmament. Obama's UN Ambassador confirms the meeting "...will focus on nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear disarmament broadly, and not on any particular countries." (American UN Ambassador Susan Rice, 9-2-09) We, too, are for world peace, but abstract discussions fail to address present death threats to the United States and its allies.

Why is Barack Obama appeasing Iran?

Iran is aggressively pursuing a nuclear bomb, has called for genocide against Israel, and is the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism.

Why is Barack Obama going soft on North Korea?

North Korea has conducted nuclear weapons testing, launched ballistic missiles over the Pacific, and threatens world peace.

Why is Barack Obama raising the stature of Muammar Gaddafi?

Obama insisted on a Security Council Summit, then invited Libya's Muammar Gaddafi -- who bankrolled and embraced the Lockerbie bomber.

Grandstanding

at the United Nations will not prevent a nuclear armed Iran and will not hold North Korea accountable for its nuclear program.
