image(Marine Mother Marijane Green is right. The Nobel Peace Prize more rightfully belongs to Navy Lt. Dan Cnossen) Thank you for your story on Pres. Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. Before I read it, I sent the following letter to my representatives and the letter below that in blue, to Pres. Obama.

I sent the following e mail to my representatives this morning, along with the story of the Topeka, Kansas Navy Seal who lost both his legs in Afghanistan. I also faxed another letter below, to Pres. Obama. I strongly believe Pres. Obama should dedicate this award to the American men and women fighting in the two wars he leads. He leads two campaigns right now: Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The later, includes other countries besides Afghanistan. He should go to the military hospitals in the USA, Germany, and to visit the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and for their morale, dedicate this prize to them, thank them for their fight, and give a rousing speech toward victory in Afghanistan. I also have previously contacted my representatives, many who say that the Iraq surge "worked" and asked them to award an IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL to our troops who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. As they transition to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan (and several other countries such as the Philippines, Jolo Island, and other nations) they need a morale boost to spur them to victory. An Iraq Victory Medal for those OEF vets who were in OIF will help with morale, as long as dedicating the Nobel Peace Prize to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, or those wounded and now serving. Thank you for your work with CFP. Sincerely, Mrs. Marijane Green Kansas City, Kansas Mother of Marine in OEF-in Afghanistan now Mother of former Marine-OIF-surge vet in Iraq SENT THE FOLLOWING TO MY REP. AND SENATOR THIS MORNING VIA FAX AND E MAIL: I believe that the wrong person was chosen for the Nobel Peace Prize. It should be someone like Navy Lt. Dan Cnossen, who is carrying out President Obama's orders as Commander in Chief, and had his legs blown off in Afghanistan recently. Please see the story below. I know they are saying Pres. Obama did not know he was nominated for the prize, so I am not criticizing him. I am just giving suggestion on how he can dedicate the award to the servicemen and women who are carrying out his Afghan and Iraq policy and were injured like Lt. Dan Cnossen. Please look at the photo of Lt.Cnossen in his hospital bed in Bethesda, MD as U.S. Navy Sec. Ray Mabus awards him the Bronze Star with Valor and Purple Heart. President Obama should fly to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan and dedicate the award to all the servicemen and women who are carrying out his orders and risking their lives doing so. In addition, he should go to the military hospitals and dedicate this award to his men and women who were injured. I don't think anything less will be appropriate, and will fax this to Pres. Obama this morning. Please read the following story about Lt. Cnossen and say a prayer for him and all the American troops in the wars, and in the hospitals as they serve under President Obama, their Commander in Chief. Obama has a chance now to dedicate this to his men, and remember their sacrifice for his policies. I believe in 1988, American forces who served under the UN, dating back to their the Korean War era a Nobel Peace Prize was dedicated to the troops, so Obama would have precedence in dedicating his award to US troops. Please review this story:

Cnossen honored for heroism

By Mike Hall Lt. Daniel Cnossen, Topeka native and member of the Navy SEALs, has received a Bronze Star medal with Valor and a Purple Heart from Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus. Cnossen was seriously injured by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan on Sept. 7. He has had both legs amputated and has undergone surgeries for other injuries. Mabus presented the medals to Cnossen last week at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., where Cnossen is receiving treatment for his wounds. Cnossen, described by his sister Leslie in a blog as "perky and cracking jokes all the time," insists that this incident shouldn't deter Naval Special Warfare members and U.S. military "from aggressively pursuing the enemy." A report from the Navy about the incident tells that Cnossen received immediate medical assistance from the team corpsman. "Together, they navigated down the hill, encountering more secondary," the report continues. "Later, team members were quickly evacuated by helicopter. Though he lost large quantities of blood and received severe injuries leading to the amputation of both legs at the knees, Cnossen continued to direct his teammates and assess the tactical situation." Other new details from the report include the fact that Cnossen's team assaulted a compound to discover several thousand pounds of narcotics, small arms weapons, and IEDs, including such components as warheads, detonation materials, bulk explosive, and four tons of ammonium nitrate, a fertilizer used in explosives devices. Leslie has given up her job at New York University as a nurse to move to Washington, D.C., to take care of Cnossen. His mother, Alice Landers, and stepfather, Jeff Landers, also traveled to Maryland to be with him. "Dan is in good spirits and is already formulating a plan for recovery," his mother said. "He's climbed Machu Picchu and hiked Patagonia's Torres del Paine, so you can bet he'll attack his recovery plan with the same unbelievable resolve." His previous awards include the Bronze Star, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Joint Service Achievement Medal. SENT ABOVE STORY TO PRESIDENT OBAMA via FAX this morning, and faxed the story above with photo of legless SEAL. WROTE THIS TO PRESIDENT OBAMA AND SENT VIA FAX: TO: PRESIDENT OBAMA 10-9-09-Fri. I heard the news that you were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. I have a suggestion: I truly believe you would do yourself a favor and the morale of the men and women you lead in a Global War on Terrorism would be lifted if you flew to Camp Dwyer, or Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan and dedicate your Novel Peace Prize to them. They risk their lives daily under restricted rules of engagement and don't know the mission. Also, go to the military hospitals in the USA and the military hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan and Germany and dedicate the award to the troops you lead. I also encourage you, as many say the Iraq war surge "worked", to sign an order to award Operation Iraqi Freedom vets the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL. This will encourage them as many are still on active duty and being transitioned to Afghanistan for the surge there. Announcing the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL, along with dedicating your Peace Prize to them, and declaring the American troops and American civilians they are there to protect are PARAMOUNT, along with a rousing speech to lead them on to victory in Afghanistan, and promising another medal, the AFGHANISTAN VICTORY MEDAL, will DO WONDERS for troop morale. I am begging you to do this for our troops.
