No, Mr. President ~ Not Again

Patriots for America No, Mr. President and all members of the Senate and the House - we will NOT allow our Finest to be a part of your political games. You sit there in your warm and cushy offices, all safe and sound from the horrors of war and diddle with our kids lives.

You stand up every now and then when photo ops abound or political points can be scored and reporters wait breathlessly to take down every golden word from your lying lips. I was told that actions speak louder than words and I have found that to be true time and time again over the decades I have been alive. Your actions - or lack thereof speak volumes. Words are cheap, but our kids’ lives are not. We are done with your words. You say you support the troops ~ Put your money where your words come from. Stop apologizing for the country and Law of the Land that our kids are defending every day. Stand up and support our Troops or sit down and end this. Get comfortable with the word, “Victory” or get out of the way. A defeatist CIC just gets more of our kids killed. No, Sir! That will not do! You worry about losing votes. We worry about losing our babies. You worry about offending your base. We worry about offending God. You read polls. We read DOD releases. You ride in big black cars, secure behind your bullet proof glass. We listen in dread for that strange car pulling up in our driveway. You listen to “experts”. We listen to our kid’s tired and far away voice. You speak to reporters about your grand plans. We listen to reporters bash our kids for just doing their jobs. You sit up late with your staff discussing the best political strategy. We stay up late alone at the kitchen table, praying. Our kids stay up for days, hoping the latest strategy works and they and their buddies live through the battles. You go to strategy meetings behind closed doors. We go to funerals on sacred ground. No, Mr. President. We will not let you give our kids or this country another Vietnam.

Tribute to our Vietnam Veterans

Tribute to our Vietnam Veterans. This song was written upon the arrival of the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It was performed for the first time at the Sylvan Theater, Washington, DC in a concert given to the Vietnam Vets commemorating the 25th Anniversary of The Wall. It was a very cold, wet day (41 degree F) in Washington, DC Nov 10, 2007. But all performers gave their all to our vets.
