This is an excerpt from a Rasmussen (Poll) Report on Feb. 13, 2010:
"Republicans received some modestly good news this past week. In a three-way congressional contest with a Tea Party candidate on the ballot, the GOP candidate now comes in second, with the Tea Party choice in third. In early December, the Tea Party candidate came in second, while the Republican finished third. Of course, the Democrat won both times."
When I discussed this with a Democrat friend he admitted that they are rooting for the Tea Party candidates to enter all the elections as it would guarantee a victory for them by taking away enough of the votes cast to deprive either the Republicans or the Tea Party Candidates a victory.
I believe that we the voters have got to spread this information far and wide if we want to rid ourselves of the oppressive and non-responsive liberals from congressional offices. Don’t forget, there will also be Libertarians and other fringe candidates stealing votes away that will also help the liberals.
There is only one reasonable way to handle this sort of situation so as to insure that a Tea Party candidate does not split the conservative vote thus guaranteeing a victory for the anti-American liberals who are caught up in the zeal to kill our Constitution, our way of life, and our freedom.

Our country is on the verge of collapse due to the destructive policies of the Obama Administration where colossal spending, monumental deficits and catastrophic national debt are all-consuming and will at some point break all our commitments to the nations which are holding our I.O.U.'s for cash loaned.
With our current bad financial status, those notes will be called in soon; we won’t be able to repay and our country will cease to exist as we give up collateral lands and properties. Personal savings and properties that now belong to you and I will disappear. It WILL happen.

We can NEVER solve our debt problems by continuing to try to spend our way out of it. It has never worked before and will not work now. The only answer is to STOP massive spending IMMEDIATELY; stop creating new and exorbitant programs while our deficit balance is so overwhelming. The deeper the deficit the longer we suffer with job losses.

We CAN NOT recover jobs lost by borrowing more money; that only makes matters worse. It isn't just the money borrowed that is killing us, but the astronomical interest amounts that result from too much borrowing. Again, we MUST STOP SPENDING at least until the debt and deficits are reduced to manageable numbers and our debtor nations learn to trust us again. We earn no trust with spendthrift liberals in charge of our government.
It doesn’t sound fair, but unless we are ready as a nation to continue the horrible ways that have grounded this once majestic country for the past two to three years with unconscionable and anti-American socialist liberals at the helm, we should concentrate on having only ONE candidate represent the constitutional conservative majority of Americans. Two candidates will kill both candidates’ chances; you MUST BELIEVE IT!
Tea Party candidates should run ONLY in PRIMARY races within the Republican Party trying to convince the constituents that the Tea Party is the only one dedicated to providing a strong conservative view of all the important issues facing America. Let the people make the choice of which person they feel is the truest conservative to run in the general election.
True conservatives know who the RINO voices are and will vote accordingly
True conservatives know who the RINO voices are and will vote accordingly. There are many RINO Republicans; candidates with weak principles regarding most all issues. RINO's have a history of voting against traditional party values on many important issues such as budget-busting earmarks or “pork”.
Another issue is the immigration or amnesty question. RINO’s like liberals would give the illegal aliens in our country a free pass to citizenship ahead of all the others that have been waiting to become citizens of the United States the legal and honest way of applying and waiting for their application to reach the head of the line.
These good and honest applicants do not deserve to be pushed further back down the line and made to wait longer periods while we reward criminals who broke our laws to enter this country illegally when some politicians think they should not be returned to their native lands.
This is NOT THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE. We don’t reward law breakers, we PUNISH them; to do otherwise is to establish a new set of standards and to tell foreigners, 'If you want to come to America, just break the law and steal across our porous borders and we will give you a fast track to citizenship ahead of those who wait patiently for their turn to come.
Only fools will wait, but not for long.
Gerald A. “Jerry” McConnell, 92, of Hampton, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Mass., surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 27, 1924 in Altoona, Pa., the fifth son of the late John E. and Grace (Fletcher) McConnell.
Jerry served ten years with the US Marine Corps and participated in the landing against Japanese Army on Guadalcanal and another ten years with the US Air Force. After moving to Hampton in 1957 he started his community activities serving in many capacities.
He shared 72 years of marriage with his wife Betty P. (Hamilton) McConnell. In addition to his wife, family members include nieces and nephews.
