Gun registry information

Private information is being hacked

Dear MP and others: This is an extremely urgent message. Read the correspondence below. Your information is at grave risk, putting you, your home, your property and family in danger. Please contact your MP and others on this dangerous situation. As you all well know, the information has already been hacked numerous times as has the CPIC system. Copies of the registry and licensing debacle have been given to the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, and the complete license and registry information with names, addresses and phone numbers, have been given to a Liberal polling firm, in violation of all promises of integrity and privacy of the information we voluntarily (with threat of jail) gave under the C-68 Firearms Act changes to the Criminal Code that made instant criminals of honest productive traditional firearms owners.

It is extremely important that you contact your MP and demand that the safety and integrity of your most private information is audited by the Auditor General and that the registry information be inspected by an independent technology security agency. After all, a former data base administrator stated publicly that the information could be hacked in very little time by a 13 year old with a home computer. At this time, your information is at the fingertips of tens of thousands of individuals who have legal access, and we can have NO assurance that even they are all honest. Consider that recently the very police officer responsible for the registration of firearms on the Toronto Police was charged with illegally confiscating and selling firearms. Would you trust people such as him with YOUR most private information? We also cannot know how many copies of the system have been surreptitiously made and how many hackers have gained access to this most intimate information and to whom it has been given or sold. In reality, the most dangerous information is the licensing information itself which tells criminals who gain access, what TYPE of firearms you own. Few wish to steal shotguns and rifles. Pistols, identified by the licensing information, are the main targets of those who illegally access the porous data base. We need honest answers and we need them immediately before more people are raided based on this information, and perhaps even killed. Don Klein Secretary Valley Rifle Club CC and BCC to club members, legal, judiciary, and other stakeholders PS: Please urgently contact your MP and forward this to others who need to know the truth of this extremely dangerous situation.
