As it turns out, our government’s actions are extremely transparent. One needs to know where to look to find the transparency. Two excellent sites are available, Govtrack, and Thomas from the Library of Congress.

Is there any wonder that these resources are never discussed by the media? If the American voter were aware of the time congress spends on useless “feel-good” legislation they would demand that members of congress have their salaries cut. Are you becoming physically ill? On the other hand, time spent on this nonsense keeps them from doing more significant fiscal damage to our country; like “Global Warming” legislation, and the recently passed health care fiasco. Can the reader think of any “major legislation” passed by the Federal Government that doesn’t put us further in debt, while taking more of out God given and Constitutionally granted freedom away? Think about the amount of wasted time, effort and cost of putting the nonsense below together. Jun 23, 2010 – Bill Action Passed House: H.Res. 1388: Supporting the goals and ideals of National Hurricane Preparedness Week. Passed House 419-0, 13 not voting with bipartisan support. We need a bill for this why? Jun 23, 2010 – Bill Action Passed House: H.Res. 1350: Recognizing June 20, 2010, as World Refugee Day. Passed House by voice vote. Absolutely we can’t get by without this one. Our government refuses to safeguard or boarders, so “come on down.” Jun 23, 2010 – Bill Action Passed House: H.Res. 1369: Recognizing the significance of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month. Passed House 410-0, 22 not voting with bipartisan support. What about legislation banning hyphenated American politically correct speech? Jun 23, 2010 – Bill Action Passed House: H.Res. 1434: Recognizing National Homeownership Month and the importance of homeownership in the United States. Passed House 405-6, 21 not voting with bipartisan support. Roll Call This one is particularly precious when we think about the role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s role in the housing meltdown. Just another failed piece of social engineering brought to us by the radical-left in our country. Jun 23, 2010 – Bill Action Passed House: H.Res. 1034: Expressing support for the importance of Braille in the lives of blind people. Passed House by voice vote. Let’s hope they passed this in Braille because, it would certainly help members of congress read it. Whoops, forgot, “we have to pass a bill before we before we know what is in it.” Voters in Orange County CA have become fed up with this nonsense. They will make their voices heard in November.
