image American Democrats, driven desperate by the Tea Party Movement’s apparent hold over looming mid-term elections, have found a new place to run to and a new, offshore treasure trove of well-heeled supporters.

Vancouver, B.C., Canada, known as “Vansterdam” due to its lax law enforcement of marijuana usage, proliferation of marijuana grow-ops and large drug traffic, is the new place to run to. Trial lawyers with the “Committee for a Better Future” offer Dems a new treasure trove for campaign cash in America’s hard recessionary times. Message to We the People: If your Dem candidate is missing during these long languid summer afternoons, he or she is most likely having a fundraiser in Vansterdam. That’s where the Rush Limbaugh-nicknamed “Dingy Harry” was last night. That means that Reid was offshore looking for money one day after President Barack Obama failed to raise campaign cash for him only the night before in Nevada. The Reid fundraiser was hosted by the `hopey-changey’ sounding “Committee for a Better Future”, in reality a Liberal Lawyers Association that is raising money, not just on behalf of Reid but for many Democrat Senate candidates across recession ravaged America. Thanks to the far left, It’s a global world now, and who would rely more on the influence of Democrat Senators than ambulance chasing trial lawyers? Vancouver, BC may be a long way from Searchlight, Nevada but then again Vancouver is home city of COPE, Committee of Progressive Electors (read Communists). In November 2000 municipal elections COPE won eight of 10 city council seats and also swept the park and school boards. When COPE was in its heyday in the early 1980s, a huge public outcry, led by a Jewish rabbi, forced the news media to identify COPE for what it is: Communist. Up until the public outcry, the mainstream media identified the group only as “left of centre”. COPE cleaned up its name but not its act and Vision Vancouver is now one of three parties represented on Vancouver City Council, Vision having been formed in the months leading up to the 2005 municipal election, by former COPE members. Reid’s home state of Nevada tops the nation with a whopping 14 percent unemployment, and the Las Vegas convention industry continues to struggle in Obama’s `Don’t-go-to-Nevada‘ PR strategy. “It appears the main event of Reid’s politically-motivated trip to Canada was a ritzy reception of the “Committee for a Better Future”, a joint venture of the Democrat party establishment and the Washington DC-based trial lawyers’ lobbying association that will benefit at least 12 Democrat U.S. Senate candidates. (NRSC.org) “Reid has based his reelection campaign on the premise that he has delivered for Nevada, yet he failed to convince his trial lawyer supporters to hold their convention in the Silver State--or in America at all.” One of the 12 Democrat candidates said to have benefitted by the Vancouver fundraiser is Iowa Democrat Senate hopeful and trial lawyer Roxanne Conlin. Conlin has not confirmed whether she attended the convention in person or relied on one of her Democrat party bosses to bring the campaign booty back. Let’s hope US customs officials were awake when Dingy Harry headed back over the border to the US from Canada this morning.
