American Association of Retired Persons, Insurance peddlers

Finally the Truth Catches Up With AARP

Barack Hussein Obama began his illegal assumption of our presidency in January 2009 and his assault on America long before that date. In the months following his "inauguration" he formulated plans on how to destroy our country and he has been working on them ever since.

One of his plans was to kill the best medical health care system in the world here in America by means of a hoped-for 'state plan' that would give he and his Administration unparalleled control of our lives from cradle to grave. I first realized the dangers involved with this socialized medicine plan for the entire country, but especially the areas where it would hurt our population of senior citizens, of which I am proud to say I am one, and noticed that a seniors' organization, in fact the largest one, known as the American Association of Retired Persons or AARP was touting this plan which most everybody agreed was really bad for seniors. Then I discovered that this organization that was started as an advocacy group for senior citizens had over the year morphed into just another insurance company and they were using the members as their prime targets for supplemental insurance plans to Medicare. As what I felt was an assist to the other senior citizens, on August 9, 2009 I wrote a column for Canada Free Press (CFP) titled, "AARP Takes Seniors' Money But Turns Back on Their Questions" which quoted extensively from an article published by the American Family Association on a meeting in which the AARP walked out when seniors started to ask questions that they chose not to answer about their involvement in the ObamaCare insurance plan. On November 19, 2009 I followed up with another article in CFP titled, "As AARP's Membership Declines It's Profits Soar on ObamaCare Insurance" which self explains the gist of the column and how AARP was eagerly pursuing sales to their once great seniors' program members of their supplemental insurance, warning seniors that they would be better off looking to join some other seniors' organization. Then on January 11, 2010 I wrote another which would be the last warning given to senior citizens on how AARP was using their membership in the Association that they once promoted as a tool to sell insurance. That column was titled, "ObamaCare Has Corrupted Both AARP and AMA Who Have Turned Against Their Members." So as you can see, I have devoted no small amount of my time trying to get answers for seniors and explanations on how AARP had become just another insurance sales company instead of the seniors' advocacy group they were founded to be. Of course, the management and leadership of AARP loudly proclaimed that the services they were offering for sale to their members were such a good deal they should not be overlooked. I'm sure most of you remember the warning, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." Well the chickens are just now coming home to roost and the truth is slowly oozing out of the treacherous and costly, not to mention deadly for seniors, that ObamaCare really is and on November 4, 2010 The Joplin Globe, Joplin, MO published an Associated Press article written by Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar titled " Citing heal overhaul, AARP hikes employee costs." In the article it was cited that insurance costs will rise; just as so many others predicted even before that healthcare bill passed in Congress during a frantic session where bribes, threats and much, much, legislator arm-twisting took place to eke out a win and get Obama to sign it into law on an accelerated pace. The AP article further states that AARP now says health care premiums will increase by 8 percent to 13 percent next year and then adds that it's changing co-payments and deductibles to avoid a 40 percent tax on high-cost health plans that takes effect in 2018 under the law. As it normally is with insurance plans, I feel sure that these increases will affect some people harder than others, and if you are anything like me then you have trouble figuring out sometimes just what you're getting or not getting and how much it is costing you. So I trust others to get to the bottom of any dilemmas and make it public, just like so many did BEFORE ObamaCare was rammed down our throats by Pelosi, Reid and Obama. If you're still a member of AARP and also one of their insurance customers you should check it out to see how this new monstrosity of ObamaCare and its increases will affect you. I fortunately saw the change coming in AARP and like many others, cancelled my membership even before they started to become insurance peddlers. Fortunately for all of us, the newly elected members of Congress have made it known that one of the first orders of business will be to attempt to repeal ObamaCare and its horrors against the public.
