The Arctic has been cooling for 10 years In case you have not heard... the Arctic, at least its part of Alaska, has been in a cooling trend for ten years. This is according to temperature measurements at 20 out of 21 first order meteorological stations in Alaska from 2000 to 2009.

Moreover, I surmise, the sudden temperature rise at Fairbanks in the mid 1970’s, previously ascribed to the Pacific Decadal Oscillation index (PDOI), may have been an artefact, due to the then increased activity at the Fairbanks Intl. Airport, with many additional over-the-pole flights taking off around midnight (the time of temperature measurement). The Arctic has been claimed to be more affected than areas at lower latitudes by “global warming”, or “climate change”, presumably all due to anthropogenic (man-made) carbon dioxide emissions. Well, the facts don’t seem to listen to the claptrap by the Intl. Panel on Climate Change. Enjoy the coming (Arctic) winter!
