On the final homestretch to this Thanksgiving, freedom lovers the world over, are thinking of America. There are freedom lovers in all of the world’s nations--people who still look to America as a beacon of light and liberty. The farmers and fishermen in far-flung corners of the world have no teleprompter from which to send their thoughts of goodwill. The unsung heroes of many lands never get interviewed on prime time television, but their hopeful thoughts and good wishes for the Home of the Brave are there as they till the land and fish the streams all the same. In terms of worries and anxieties, this Thanksgiving is worse than the last. There are more people out of work; more people facing the loss of their homes and indeed many whose Thanksgiving Dinner comes courtesy of food stamps. But it is also true that this Thanksgiving arrives at a time more special than most. For even while the battle for the fundamental Transformation of America continues before the eyes of a watching world, America is still there. Even though America has a president who works against her, America is still standing. On this Thanksgiving, some worries that keep many awake after the children are abed, not the least of which is a shadow government of unelected Czars undermining Congress make it seem a dark, upside down world. Some even worry that a political strategy that borrows from manufactured `crisis’ will prevent the 60-odd elected on November 2 from ever being sworn in on January 3rd. Worries of false flag operations make others wonder if there is more to the full body scans and pat downs faced by this year’s Thanksgiving travelers. Yet, against all odds, there is an undeniable fact: on Thanksgiving 2010, America is still standing. Even in the loudest of rhetoric that tries to drown out the words held at heart by a more simple and honest people, those words remain the same today as they always did: God Bless America! Keep her safe from her enemies! Crowning the things for which to be most thankful on this Thanksgiving is that America still stands. One true thing for which not only Americans are thankful but for which the supporters of a free America everywhere are thankful. God Bless Americans!
