Housewives and farmers “foresee” better than Goddess Ixchel

The hokum pokum bunk has always been there and will intensify now that the global warming alarmists have been caught with their hands in Mother Earth’s cookie jar. Praying to the gods and goddesses of the universe to stave off storms and grow crops will be de rigeur for the masses if Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change has her way. Figueres can claim an alphabet string of degrees after her name, but when too many are asking the right questions about the legitimacy of global warming, she turned to false gods in the image of the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel in the opening statement to delegates gathered in Cancun, Mexico during the latest global warming “emergency” summit. It’s emergency time now that it’s become clear that the sky is not falling and that John Q. Public is no longer willing to play the leading role of Chicken Little in the global warming battle. Figueres spun the tale of Ixchel whom she points out was not only goddess of the moon, but also “the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you--because today, you are gathered in Cancun to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools.” If there’s one thing the executive secretary of the U.N. Framework got right, it’s that a lot of “weaving” and “creativity” from a moon goddess long gone from Mother Earth is now necessary to turn to, now that the mask is off the scam called man made Global Warming. Nor is Cancun the first time the fanciful Figueres turned to false gods in her life. “There are some very interesting details on Figueres’ website, one of which is her proud claim to have been “Trained and authorized by Al Gore to deliver his presentation The Inconvenient Truth.” (Dennis Ambler, A Nest of Carbon Vipers). “She was greatly involved in Carbon Trading until taking up her new position. It is the mechanism used for transferring wealth from industrialised nations to developing nations such as India and China. “From 2008 to 2010, she was Vice Chair of the Rating Committee, Carbon Rating Agency, described on her web site as the “first entity to apply credit rating expertise to carbon assets”. “The Carbon Rating Agency is a subsidiary of IdeaCarbon who say about themselves, “our unique access to some of the most influential decision-makers in the carbon and environmental community, gives us the possibility to foresee important regulatory and market trends and thus allow clients to have unparalleled views and advice on climate issues and debates. IdeaCarbon is based in the Isle of Man, a tax haven.” The spin of global warming alarmists is melting faster than the icebergs. Gone is the Chicago Climate Exchange. Gone, too, is the Kyoto Protocol. Going down courtesy of science, is the contrived theory of man made Global Warming. Gone like the proverbial wind and heard from only rarely these days is the formerly ubiquitous Al Gore. Meanwhile, the gods and goddesses of spin with the global warming alarmist crowd will need to find a good place to hide behind the smoke of their own pollution. Average housewives and farmers more savvy than ancient goddesses have the ability to “foresee”: The GW crowd is already on the move to their next C02 craze. It’s called YOUR drinking water.
