Nevada Hispanics duped by Harry Reid to gain re-election

imageDuring the Nevada U.S. Senate campaign, incumbent Senator Harry Reid repeatedly told Nevada Hispanics to register to vote, then re-elect him in order for the Dream Act to pass. However, Reid never told his new found voters that he had full knowledge that the Dream Act had no chance of passing even in a Democratic controlled Senate and Congress. While Harry Reid desperately campaigned for reelection in Nevada, he promised immigration activists that he would bring the Dream Act to the Senate floor for a vote this year, but he did not promise it would pass. His new found supporters were being duped.

In the meantime, Las Vegas casino companies including Harrah's and MGM bussed thousands of Hispanic union workers to the polls, many suspected of being in America illegally. Their votes overwhelmed the votes of long-time Nevada citizens. This may have occurred because Nevada's lax online voter registration laws merely ask the applicant to click "Si" to confirm U.S. citizenship without election officials being required to confirm if the answer is correct. For the first time in Nevada history, the November 2, 2010 polls were packed with voters who could not speak or read the English language.

(The question regarding U.S. citizenship) No 4) No está inscrito para votar actualmente en ningún otro condado del estado de Nevada. No 5) Tendrá por lo menos 18 años de edad en la fecha de la próxima elección. No From: Online Voter registration It's more than possible that thousands of Las Vegas' illegal immigrants falsified their online voter registrations believing that Senator Reid's influence would prevent their being prosecuted under NRS 293.800. They were probably correct! Nevada Attorney General Katherine Cortez Masto has been accused of violating her oath of office in order to protect campaign contributors. It's no surprise that she would have little interest in confirming whether thousands of illegal aliens just re-elected one of her friends who is supported by the same casinos and gamblers that supported her. Reid is now trying to say that "the Republicans" were responsible for the failure of the Dream Act. Let's hope our Latino population is not fooled again. The majority of members of both houses today voted down the Dream Act, and that majority are members of Reid's own political party of which he's the purported majority leader. For those who were just duped by Harry Reid, Sen. Lindsey Graham today said: "We are not going to pass the Dream Act or any other immigration bill [until] we secure our borders."
