The Battle of ‘The Alts’ against the Mainstream Media

We all knew it even it before Sarah Palin showed them at their worst: the mainstream media are (by and large) male sissies and female primps. Before heading out on the “story”, mainstream media men need their fizzling out batteries recharged with multiple lattes; mainstream media women need convincing from their cameramen that every blonde hair is in place; that their lips really do look bee-stung. When Sarah’s savvy and intuition left the media eating her dust on the bus trail, you could hear the screams of foul all the way to Canada: “Waaaah!”

It’s always easy making fools of the MSM when they started out as fools from the get-go. The same media “stars”, who cover wars from the not-too-close-to-the-action bars, and report on hurricanes in Calvin Klein rain gear, having watched too many movies rewrote “follow that car” to “follow that bus” with full editorial blessings. While they were sipping Starbuck lattes, Mrs. Palin had already left the building. By becoming her own media, Palin’s leaving the boys and girls of the media that doesn’t matter any more, eating her dust. Watching the MSM crybabies in the aftermath of the Palin Bus Tour is giving me ideas. It’s called the ‘Battle of the Alts’, Alts being short for (mainstream media) alternatives, the bloggers and indefatigable truth seekers; the bloodhounds of the Internet. Back to the mainstream: While they accuse Palin of going over the posted speed limit, these are the same heroes who sit on their hands while Obama bam-bams his way through the fundamental transformation of America. The Alts, up before the crack of dawn looking for ways to bring America back, should do some of the same things the mainstream media is doing: Since 2008 and before, the MSM is, has been, ganging up on the citizens of America. Complicit in their silence, they pretend that Barry Soetoro is legit with all of his credentials in order. They are looking the other way as gung-ho Marxists work to bring America down. It is time for ‘The Alts’ to gang up on the fat-cat MSM. To be effective, arrows must be straight, and the delivery of straight and accurate news is the best weapon to win the battle against the crooked and compliant mainstream media. The truth is that just as the American populace has the ability to stand off Obama and his soft-at-the-belly czars by sheer number, the alternative media can team up to stand off the sitting-at-the-nearest-watering-hole MSM. The first and most important step in the launch of the Battle of the Alts is for alternative media to team up. Evil Dude’s overpaid minions are lazy and need everything served up to them. But all the money and all the evil intentions in the world can’t make Soros and his agents be everywhere at once. ‘The Alts‘ not only cover the map of the continental U.S., some are living in faraway countries where freedom still matters. With today’s technology, distance doesn’t matter. ‘The Alts’ can hook up via Skype and `Go to Meeting’. Messages can be sent out by hush mail. To paraphrase Sun Tzu, the war can be won before the battle even starts. So Rule Number 1 is “Park all egos at the door”. Stop lecturing readers that they “read it here first”. In the evil that is stalking America, it no longer matters who is right only WHAT is right. Pool resources, send your best reporters to Skype and “Go to Meeting” with ‘The Alts’. Andrew Breitbart and Big Government would make the perfect ALT leader. This is what real hope and change is all about, because long after the mainstream media hit the sack, you can be working ‘round the clock. Be daring and go a little Marxist: Make the Big Scoop Collective. Remember it was a gaggle of ordinary guys in their pajamas who unearthed the truth and zapped the high falutin’ Dan Rather like a cottage mosquito. The truth is out there.
