Straight from the Horse's Mouth:

Boehner and Obama NOT Close to Deal

imageWhen it comes to the big scoop, you just can’t beat talk show radio. In the last segment of today’s Rush Limbaugh show House Speaker John Boehner told the radio giant that contrary to all the rumors circulating, there is no deal on the budget talks that would see substantial spending cuts and seek future revenues through a tax overhaul. There is no deal now and there never was, Boehner insists.

Even though heralded by the New York Times there is no deal.  Boehner worried that we are entering "unchartered territory" in risking default, adding that Republicans had been trying "to cut our debt and balance our budget." Told by Limbaugh that Americans are worried that the Republicans would cave in to the Obama regime with some sort of deal, Boehner answered "It would have been nice if the Democrats had put a plan on the table but the president has refused." Boehner was adamant about there being no deal even as a New York Times story posted on the Drudge Report today made it sound like a slam dunk. "The Obama administration has informed Democratic Congressional leaders that President Obama and Speaker John A. Boehner were starting to close in on a major budget deal that would enact substantial spending cuts and seek future revenues through a tax overhaul, Congressional officials said Thursday." (The New York Times, July 21, 2011).    "With the government staring at a potential default in less than two weeks, the officials said the administration on Wednesday night notified top members of Congress that an agreement between the president and Mr. Boehner could be imminent.  The Congressional leaders, whose help Mr. Obama would need to bring a compromise forward, were told that the new revenue tied to looming agreement to increase the debt limit by Aug. 2 would be produced in 2012 through a tax code rewrite that would lower individual and corporate rates, close loopholes, end tax breaks and make other adjustments to produce revenue gains." Limbaugh, at noon hour and Mark Levin, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. EST seem to be teaming up to produce the unvarnished truth for Americans largely disenfranchised by a mainstream media who seem to be promulgating the propaganda of an often scare-tactic driven government. With an estimated combined 28 million radio listeners between them,  Limbaugh and Levin are closing in on the mainstream media keeping Americans in touch with what is really happening at the White House. "Limbaugh + Levin ≠Obama will become Dictator," Michael Zak of the Grand Old Partisan website wrote yesterday headlines. "What is Barack Obama's endgame?  What are his true intentions.? What does he really want? "Yesterday, two radio titans predicted very bad things are heading America's way.  On his program, Rush Limbaugh said he thinks that President Obama will follow through on his threat and invoke the 14th Amendment as an excuse to raise the debt ceiling (that is, borrow money) without congressional authorization.  On his program a few hours later,  Mark Levin said that if Obama does that, he would be acting as a dictator. "Barack Obama, Dictator of the United States of America? Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin think It Can Happen Here," wrote Zak. Limbaugh and Levin are the two of the most powerful names in talk show radio today.  Their co-jointly closing in on the truth opens doors for Americans left in the dark by a mainstream media. Even with the mainstream media in his pocket, it will be more difficult for Obama to hype it with the two Big L's closing in on the chase. Tune in on Mark Levin 6 p.m. tonight
