Obama Walks the Tight Rope Between Sure Defeat in 2012 and Possible Victory

Whatever you may think of the man who occupies the highest office in our government, the presidency of the United States, be it stupidity or brilliance, complacent or feisty, honest or larcenous, hyperactive or lazy, leading or lagging, and I know I can find takers for all of the foregoing choices; the one thing you can't say about him is that he is reluctant to take chances.
He practically invites comments on his daring to go where the greatest numbers of American citizens wish him not to go and does so with an arrogant "so what - see who I am" look and demeanor. He virtually dares people to criticize his actions, taken as if his imperial status as the de facto dictator, as opposed to de jure and the law of the land. This is what has given him the false bravado and some would say the lack of sagacity to prod the United States Supreme Court to make a rapid decision on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, known better to millions as "ObamaCare" even before the rehearing of an appeals court on whether the federal government can force people to buy health insurance.

This massive piece of legislation that was opposed by a majority of American citizens has been called "Obama's Folly" by many, as well as his insurance for remaining in office by many others; and the act of pushing the SCOTUS for an early decision seemingly plays into the hands of his many enemies who also want a quick decision that they feel will strike the law down and Obama along with it. As stated by TheWeek.com article titled, 'Why Obama wants the Supreme Court to decide "ObamaCare" in 2012' published on September 29, 2011, "Lower courts have split on whether that individual mandate is unconstitutional, so the issue was destined to appear before the high court some day. But the Justice Department's request for a speedy final ruling virtually assures that the final showdown on the controversial issue will occur in the middle of the presidential campaign." Once again demonstrating Obama and company's lack of good judgment. TheWeek.com goes on to list these four theories of why Obama is pushing for the early SCOTUS decision:
  1. Obama must be sure he'll win in court
  2. The president wants to be sure the law is defended
  3. Team Obama wants to avoid another appeals court defeat
  4. No matter what the Supreme Court decides, the Obama campaign wins
On theory No. 1 there is no surprise; the classic narcissism of the Usurper in Chief would never allow him to think otherwise. His colossal ego drives him to thinking that ALL of the American citizens think he is the greatest thing since the incandescent bulb; better make that the CFL bulb. Theory No. 2 is so obvious that it rates no comment from me. On theory No. 3, I believe there might be some teeny little microscopic speck of doubt in Obama's mind if the measure is left undefended. On theory No. 4 there is a whole world of speculation that whomever drew up that assumption that Obama wins no matter what the Supreme Court decides. If that were a true case, why would the egomaniacal, self-adoring narcissist even bother to bring it to the high court? If he thinks that even defeat will make him look good while pouring tears over those awful Republicans sentencing millions to an early grave with the survivors left to pay extreme and draconian (famous words that liberal Democrats use constantly) prices for their insurance, he's wrong. He has been down this route before on occasions showing that being a crybaby isn't a practice for success. This type of left-handed thinking is more fairy tale stuff conjured up in his own mind; national polls, Rasmussen and Gallup, are both reporting that more than fifty percent of the American voters call for outright repeal of the entire cockamamie health plan. With almost daily figures in the mid-fifty percent wanting an end to ObamaCare there is little hope for a "victory" in SCOTUS does in fact correctly find the law to be unconstitutional. Obama assumes that if the SCOTUS does not kill ObamaCare that the people will then love him dearly. Sorry Obie, but you've had it with your arrogance, country damaging, wasteful spending creating a public debt burdening our children and grandchildren for decades to come. And planning to pass this burden off on to the very people who produce prosperity that you spend on corrupt labor unions and wasteful rewards for yourself and family will be remembered long after the health care issue is finalized. As Liz Peek says in FoxNews.com on October 01, 2011, "the debate (SCOTUS) will remind voters that Mr. Obama spent a year and a half pushing health care "reform" instead of focusing on job creation." So, Obie, you had better start packing your bags and please don't trash the White House on the way out as the last liberal president (Clinton) did, even though that is what libDems seem do best.
