AG Eric Holder Scathes Congress With His Operation ‘Fast and Furious’ Questionable Alibis

Using the tired, worn and much overused -- especially in the Clinton era -- liberal Democratic mantra of telling a lie enough times so as to make people start believing it, U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder wrote in a letter to congressional leaders Friday, October 7, 2011, "I have no recollection of knowing about 'Fast and Furious' or of hearing its name prior to the public controversy about it. Prior to early 2011, I certainly never knew about the tactics employed in the operation."
FoxNews.com author Mike Levine wrote the above quote in the article "Holder Challenges 'Fast and Furious' Allegations in Scathing Letter to Congress" published October 07, 2011, FoxNews.com In a typical maneuver much used during the Clinton era called "deny, deny, deny" Holder, in a defensive mode from Republican interrogation over when he learned of Operation Fast and Furious, used as his most forceful defense to date, the tactic of accusing his critics of using "irresponsible and inflammatory rhetoric" and insisting his statements have been "truthful and accurate."

I believe that any person with even just average common sense and intelligence could see the glaring holes in those statements; particularly in light of, as Mike Levine says, Holder's statements coming just "one day after the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, distributed five memos addressed to Holder in July and August 2010, citing the gunrunning investigation by name. Nearly a year after those heavily redacted memos were sent, the attorney general in May (2011) told lawmakers under oath he 'probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks'." Is this a case of "gotcha", and if so, why didn't the Republicans pull the trigger on it? To repeat; Holder stated (above) that he didn't hear of it prior to early 2011 and then FIVE memos addressed to Holder in July and August 2010, were presented by the Senate Judiciary Committee the day (Oct. 7, 2011) before Holder made the statements re not hearing of it "prior to early 2011" and "probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks". If all that activity was theoretically being made available to Holder's Justice Department and he is now claiming not to have heard of it "prior to early 2011" or "over the past few weeks" he is either committing perjury or has already committed nonfeasance of his duty as the top official in the Obama's Justice Department. If perjury, then he should be charged with that offense and brought to trial; or if nonfeasance, he should be fired immediately and removed from such a critically important government position. But as with almost everything connected with the corrupt and traitorous part of the criminally ineligible usurper Barack Hussein Obama's Administration, nothing will be done about it as it seems every law enforcement agency, or court at every level up to and including the Supreme Court of the United States, has neither the courage nor fortitude to make the first move. Even our Congress seems mummified as to any corrective actions to be taken. Note this part of Mike Levine's FoxNews.com article: "A spokesman for Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif, who as chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is leading a congressional investigation into "Fast and Furious," said he found Holder's letter unconvincing. "If Attorney General Holder had said these things five months ago when Congress asked him about 'Operation Fast and Furious,' it might have been more believable," the spokesman said. "At this point, however, it's hard to take at face value a defense that is factually questionable, entirely self-serving, and a still incomplete account of what senior Justice Department officials knew about gun walking." So Congressman Issa, why isn't ANY sort of action being taken against this obvious act of either perjury or nonfeasance? Is not your official venue tantamount to a legal site similar to a court room where charges can be brought for criminal behavior? Must we all just sit back and wait for Sheriff Joe to swoop down and put the cuffs on Holder? Or, barring that, nothing at all? Where's Wyatt Earp when we need him?
