When investigation becomes innuendo

Welcome to the Innuendo News Era

Like cats rushing the catnip, all mainstream media will be clawing their way to Gloria Allred and her “alleged” Herman Cain sexual harassment client at Manhattan’s Friars Club 1:30 p.m., EST today.
First question that should but won’t be asked by mainstream media reporters: “How long, Sistah have you been keeping this under wraps?” One week and 100 plus Politico stories later, we’re still at the innuendo, no proof of claims stage on presidential candidate Herman Cain’s media stoked scandal. Enter Gloria one week to the day. Notice the slippage in verbiage as Cain’s popularity soars in spite of the bubbling scandal.

Washington Post: “The news conference is sure to keep the scandal alive for another day; Cain has been embattled for more than a week over allegations that he sexually harassed multiple employees while working in the 1990s for the National Restaurant Association.” “Multiple”? How did we get to “multiple” from three last week to four this one? From RadarOnLine’s exclusive about the upcoming Allred presser: “The woman, who will be the first to go public today, sought Cain's help with an employment issue and was allegedly sexually harassed by him. Allred and her client will discuss, in detail, what she alleges occurred with Cain. “Allred’s client will allege that Cain harassed her when she sought his help seeking a job while he was president of the National Restaurant Association, the law office said in an e-mail. She will be the first person to give her name and provide details in a scandal that has consumed Cain’s presidential campaign for more than a week.” The shark feeding frenzy surrounding Cain is being brought to you by the same media that advertises Viagra to “make you the same man that you used to be”. It is brought to you by the same media that ignores “Honor Killings” by Muslim fathers on American soil; the same media that never reports on the increasing number of rapes taking place at Occupy Wall Street (OWS) tent cities. And the shark feeding frenzy comes to you from the same media where sexual harassment has become a political election-time tool, and where rapes of non-celebrity women rarely qualify as news. The 12-year-old story of the sexually harassed during Herman Cain’s tenure of the National Restaurant Association is not a story about the sexually harassed or even about Herman Cain. It is the contemporary story about how a corrupt, state controlled media is trying to make innuendo “The News”.
