"Many people who buy their own health insurance could get surprises in the mail this fall: cancellation notices because their current policies aren't up to the basic standards of President Barack Obama's health care law. They, and some small businesses, will have to find replacement plans — and that has some state insurance officials worried about consumer confusion. The changes don't seem to square with one of the president's promises: "If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan."Assuming the AP is right, these folks might lose their preferred policies, and will probably end up paying a lot more for government-approved replacements. Obviously we're all stunned by this news. No one could possibly have predicted it, and to think that Barack Obama might have been less than truthful... That's just inconceivable. Why, if only there had been an organization which could have investigated this and published their findings in an open, transparent, manner before the Affordable Care Act was rammed down the American people's throats. Perhaps we could establish this kind of an outfit - some sort of "association" of international "press" members who would report on government activities, without bias, so we would all know the potential shortfalls of new legislation. I seem to recall that we did have at least one pseudo-news organization reporting on Obamacare, but they were basically an administration parrot which consistently regurgitated the President's lies. I forget their name, but I'm pretty sure Eric Holder was tapping their phones. If anyone can remember who they were, please, let me know.
