The most insane, rambling, incoherent rant we've heard yet...

Wow. MSNBC contributor says more white kids need to die to understand race in America

I don't even know where to start with this one.  We've heard some crazy, hyperbolic race-baiting in the wake of the Zimmerman verdict, but this just has to take the top spot.
During a segment on MSNBC, Michael Eric Dyson suggested that America will never truly understand issues of race unless more white kids are killed.  The logic - or lack thereof - seems to be that "white America" doesn't see the Zimmerman verdict as a grotesque miscarriage of justice because not enough white youths are being killed. A panel of MSNBC's finest was discussing defense attorney Mark O'Mara, and the difficulty of proving racism in a trial, when Dyson launched into his chaotic rant:
"When the people who rig the definition of the litmus test have a bias to begin with, it's not going to be proof positive for you, when you come along testing whether race of bias exists. We don't have to impugn Mr. O'mara's character or integrity to say that what you're talking about is on Mars and we're on Venus, because the very way you perceive this is distance, analogy, and intimate approximate truth.

We have to often tell people who get defensive when we talk about race as an analogy let's make an analogy to terrorism.  So, you know how you felt on 9/11? Yeah. That's how we feel when it comes to race. So now we get more proximate to the truth of what race is in this country. As for Eric Holder - look - the reality is you gotta act now. The president. You won the second term. You're in office. You are ensconced. Do something courageous - bold, and helpful. Not only to African American people but to America, because unless we do this, white Americans and others will feel that this was a justifiable verdict. This is how things happen. Not until and unless the number of white kids die that approximate the numbers of black and other kids who die, will America see. It's beyond logic. It's about rationality. It's about let's get something done. I think the attorney general will look at this and I think it's time for him to act.” Wow.  Just...wow.  This is what MSNBC apparently thinks is worth televising.  Is it any surprise that no one watches their network? This is the second time in the last few weeks that Dyson has gone bonkers over race.  He's the same guy who, in the wake of the Supreme Court's Voting Rights Act decision, called Justice Clarence Thomas “A symbolic Jew" who "has invited a metaphoric Hitler to commit holocaust and genocide upon his own people.” For that, he was awarded a regular slot on one of their Sunday news shows. Astounding.
