Sure, there's always gridlock in D.C. Today, though, it's because the entire city is clogged with bikers. In fact, lines of motorcycles stretch out from the city, along the highways, and off to the horizons in virtually every direction. The capitol is absolutely inundated with bikes.
Part memorial, part counter-protest, the ride is designed to remember the victims of 9/11, draw attention to our eroding constitutional rights, and peacefully overwhelm a planned "Million Muslim March." Here are some pictures and video from both events. First, the bikers - most of these are from the Twitter feeds of riders and spectators.

Wow. That's a lot of bikes. Then of course, there was this guy. We're not sure if he was actually part of the event, though. He may just have been riding to Coldwater Creek for a new pair of Mom Jeans. Finally, if you're wondering how the "Million Muslim March" turned out, well, it's not coming along so well. According to a headline at the Huffington Post, the "'Million Muslim March' Shaping Up To Be More Like A Few Hundred People Walking Down The Street." If the HuffPo is saying that, you know it's bad. Here are a couple of pictures illustrating the "massive" turnout... Ouch. Looks like we can put one in the win column for the bikers.
