Indoctrination that is at work by leftist political organizations and the pliable media in their control

Indoctrination - our biggest nemesis

As we have seen for the last six to seven years, the liberal media have wholly bought in to being propagandists for the Obama administration.
Not only have they given glowing support of Obama whenever they can, they conveniently leave out, when they can get away with it, any news items that would put Obama in a negative light or contradict the false image of him that the media has helped create. President Obama is the first president ever put in power by the media. In 2008, while many of us were warning of the consequences of an Obama presidency, the dominant liberal media decided to pass on their part in vetting potential presidential candidates. It didn’t matter to them that for decades Barack Obama had been sitting under the teaching of a pastor who advocated Marxist liberation theology and who said the September 11, 2001 mass murder of 3000 people was simply “the chickens coming home to roost.” It didn’t matter that Barack Obama occasionally let slip his socialist ideology, like telling Joe the Plumber that a tax increase on his business was a good thing because “when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.” And it didn’t matter that one of his Chicago mentors was one of the founders of the Weathermen, a Marxist group that advocated terrorism and violent revolution against capitalism. Then, in the 2012 campaign, the scandalous behavior of the President and the Secretary of State in dealing with the attack on the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was completely ignored by the media. Four people died in the attack, including Christopher Stevens, the US Ambassador to Libya, yet, due to the news blackout of it by the mainstream media, many people didn’t realize an incompetent Obama and his administration just let it happen. The basic reporting of the facts of what happened in this tragic event would have derailed the Obama re-election campaign.

Last week, the false reporting by the media caused the hearts and minds of many Americans to be set against the Arizona state legislator, and its Governor, Jan Brewer. Because so many people believed the leftist propagandists’ portrayal of a bill passed by the legislature, Brewer eventually had to veto the bill. The mis-portrayal of the proposed law made it out to be the equivalent of the Jim Crow laws of racial segregation that were done away with in the 1960s and 1970s. And since the whole nation had, by and large, bought into this false propaganda, she had no choice but to veto the bill because of the national outrage that would ensue if it were passed into law. As John McCormack said at weeklystandard.com on March 3, 2014:
“According to a bipartisan group of religious liberty scholars, the legislation would have simply clarified that business owners and private citizens subject to civil lawsuits may defend themselves under Arizona's Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).”

Spending termed as Investments

Terms that the liberals use, which usually mean just the opposite, are weaved into common usage. Those terms should always be avoided by us. For example, the President often refers to his latest spending proposals as “investments.” It’s encouraging, though, to hear from Congressmen and others who resist this deceptive terminology. On his program on Fox News on March 8, 2014, John Stossel asked Congressman Mike Pompeo (Kansas) about the President’s new budget proposal and the “investments” that are in it. Pomeo replied:
“Big spenders will always call taking money from you and me and handing it to somebody they prefer, they always call that investment. That’s not how I learned it in my 20 years in business before I came to Congress. This President’s plan is worse than ‘more of the same.’ It’s going to take the nation’s debt to 25 trillion dollars over the course of the next decade....Not a single proposal about what the real risk for the Affordable Care Act is, how much money ObamaCare will ultimately spend. Not a peep about entitlement programs and how to tackle them, and on top of that, enormous tax increases which will reduce growth for the American economy.”
What can we do about this indoctrination that is at work by leftist political organizations and the pliable media in their control? First, let us begin to make it a priority to challenge the journalism departments in our state colleges and universities that turn our children into sponges for leftist ideology. Secondly we need to work to strengthen and raise up media sources across the county that haven’t been neutered by the leftist propagandists.
