What gives young people who are in this State illegally the right to in state tuition rates? Doesn't a white American have to prove residency? Yes they do. You can't just drop in from Nebraska and immediately qualify as a resident. There are requirements.
The whole immigration issue must be addressed, immediately and finally. What is so difficult about enforcing our laws? Or, in the case where they need to be changed, doing so? We are in complete gridlock over immigration. The two camps can't seem to find any common ground. Until there is a meeting of the minds, our present laws prevail. Those laws do not allow non-residents to be afforded the benefits of citizenship.
There are those who say that these are innocent children. True. Then change the law, don't disobey it. It is the oath of every politician to uphold the laws of the land. We should demand that they do so.
