According to a recent study, babies tend to play with others that look more like them.
Researchers from the University of Washington noticed that babies were more willing to share their toys with others who shared their ethnicity.
Well, hey, the other kids had already shared their ethnicity, so the babies were just returning the favor. Really, though, we’ve always known that people, being tribalistic, tend to gravitate toward those who look like themselves (which may explain why liberals often prefer pets to having children). But now it has the imprimatur of science and, apparently, the approval of the left.
After all, “science” has also stated that homosexuality is innate, and on this basis liberals have long said that it is therefore okay since “God doesn’t make mistakes.” (Note that psychologists also usually tell us that psychopaths are born and not made.) And what follows from this logic is that if someone is born with homicidal instincts, it’s alright for him to kill.
This is the idea that genetics determines what shall be viewed as “right and wrong,” and implicit in it is that there is no morality — only biological determinism. An inborn feeling has the sanction of Mother Nature, and it if feels good, do it.
Because liberals subscribe to this idea, they believe not just in deference to “inborn” sexual identity but also “gender” identity. If you feel you’re a girl stuck in a boy’s body, this is not to be questioned. You have a right to your “gender” identity!
Likewise, liberals now clearly believe that an individual’s racial identity must be recognized, respected and cultivated. After all, we wouldn’t want to force the person to suppress his true nature, to live a lie, to languish in a closet of societal prohibitions. So if a person is a black man stuck in a white fellow’s body, he must be allowed to live as a black man and benefit from affirmative action and quotas. We are not to question this.
Of course, just as there are eight million “gender” identities in the Naked City — such as he-she, cis-man, bigender, genderqueer, etc. — racial identities run the gamut. A person may be, for instance, a white-power “racist” or a Black Panther hate-monger. And, just as a cross-dresser has a right to bear the external signs of his true self, liberals believe a person must be allowed to go to school or work wearing white sheets or sporting symbols such as a swastika, Aryan fist, Celtic cross or Sieg runes. If anyone registers shock or claims offense, that person should be provided sensitivity training to learn respect for others’ racial identity. In the same vein, schools should devise curricula emphasizing tolerance for, and the equality of, all racial identities. Course books could be works such as
Heather Has Two Racists and
Daddy’s Skinmate. Again, we are not to question this.
Moreover, just as “transgender” kids must be allowed to use the bathroom they associate with their true “gender” identity, schools must accommodate a child’s racial identity. If, for example, he’s uncomfortable eating lunch with children of other racial identities, he should be provided a table more suited to his true self. And this should only increase student solidarity and charitable behavior. After all, science now tells us that kids are more likely to share with those who they racially identify with.
Anyway, now you know why I’m not a biological determinist. But, hey, liberals believe the darndest things.
