In a unitary state, the central or national government has complete authority over all other political divisions or administrative units. For example, the Republic of France is a unitary state in which the French national government in Paris has total authority over several provinces, known as departments, which are the subordinate administrative components of the nation-state. The local governments of a unitary state carry out the directives of the central government, but they do not act independently.Since John Kerry was a United States Senator with, one assumes, a more than passing knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, yet who works for an administration that itself appears to be trying to create a “unitary state” in defiance of the 10th Amendment. This it is a statement that should have resulted in much more outrage than the racist comments of an octogenarian who can’t keep his opinions to himself. And since everyone who is anyone is talking about these two racists, it seems there is just no time to concentrate on things like the IRS scandal, the Benghazi scandal, the Fast-and-Furious scandal, the NSA unconstitutional domestic spying scandal, the ever popular Obamacare disaster-in-progress or the almost inevitable rout of Democrats from their seats of power in November. On those topics all the public gets is crickets. So it appears, although to be honest I don’t have a “smoking-gun” memo signed with the blood of our SGITR President or his Prime Minister, Valerie Jarret that appears to coordinate this convenient distraction from current scandals, that these stories will inevitably be used to motivate the Democrat voter base in November in a desperate attempt to minimize the onrushing electoral disaster. This once again shows the mastery of the administration-MSM ability to sing in concert: “Oh! Look! A Bunny…”
