Attorney General Eric Holder has openly and honestly spoken about the impact that his perception of racism have had on him. In doing so, he provides the opportunity for a national dialog and analysis.

We are all shaped by our life experiences. Some scar us forever and some teach us. Our country continues to grow in our handling of race related issues. Some people see the growth and some cling to old injustices. It is troubling that the Attorney General fed into the discontent and distrust. A better leader would have acknowledge the fine leadership of the black highway patrol man who walked the streets with the citizens. He should have talked about the restraint of many of the people of Ferguson. By bringing his own biases, he exacerbated the situation. In doing so, he served no one well. The good people of Ferguson need justice. They do not need to be a platform for Eric Holder's personal agenda. Jennie Veary
