The UN: Always Putting the Horse Behind the Cart
The best Hollywood scripts aren’t written for Hollywood movies but for surrealistic gatherings of the United Nations. The title of the Hollywood script going down at today’s opening session of the United Nations in New York should be ‘The UN: Always Putting the Horse Behind the Cart’.

Talk of the yada, yada, yada kind replaces decisive action at the UN, and any action they take always puts the horse behind the cart. Where the weary world is heading on what President Barack Obama is making the Number One Topic of Our Time in the 21st century is nut-shelled by Hollywood heart-thump Leonardo DiCaprio: “The world is now at a turning point, and climate change is the defining issue of our time,” DiCaprio said as he accepted a Clinton Global Initiative Citizen award. “The task before us to protect this planet will require the largest movement in human history.” Someone should explain to the Clintons that saving the planet requires more than just postulating about saving the planet between champagne burps. In life away from flashing cameras, DiCaprio is the proud owner of 5 luxury homes and rented the world’s 5th largest yacht between marches to save the planet. As a shrewd commenter blogged on the Post, “DiCaprio goes deaf when asked about his yachts.” But when it comes to blatant hypocrisy of the worst kind, DiCaprio’s got nothing on the mega stars of the get-rich-quick Global Warming/man-made Climate Change industry. Take UN Poster Boy, Canadian Maurice Strong, Godfather of the Environmental Movement, originator of the term “sustainable development” and architect of Agenda 21. Strong, invited to China by its communist government to advise them on all things environmental, is top environment adviser to a country where the sun just doesn’t rise anymore. Chinese citizens get to watch the sunrise on specially displayed big screen TVs, as the real sunrise is blocked out by China’s storied smog. How’s that Maurice Strong environmental advice working for you all, People’s Republic of China? During Strong’s watch, China, which in point of fact has expanded its global footprint, has the colossal nerve to lecture America, which has reduced hers. Take Al Gore (and puleeze, America, keep him): We all now know about his predictions about the sea rising to swallow the sea coast didn’t come true and about how the gas and electric bills for his 20-room home and pool house in Tennessee devoured 20 times the power of an average home. But for Sunday’s People’s Climate March, Gore arrived in a GM SUV gas guzzler in time to pose for a picture linking arms with New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, environmentalist Jane Goodall and UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, who led the garbage strewing protest along with tens of thousands of marchers, including recycled rent-a-mob Occupy Wall Streeters (OWS), this time posing as “concerned environmentalists who came together to SAVE THE PLANET. Ordinary citizens going about their business had to fight their way through the choking smog left behind by the pollution producing buses chartered by the always inconsiderate of others OWS. The DiCaprio described “biggest movement in history” has tried to panic the hopelessly gullible into the notion the sky is falling for decades.
“On Tuesday, when world leaders gather for the opening session of the United Nations' Climate Summit in New York, Gore will urge young people worldwide to demand action. His initiative, Why? Why Not?, part of the Climate Reality Project, is designed to build support for a binding international agreement on greenhouse gas reductions at the United Nations Convention in Paris in late 2015.”
Even with Barack Obama at the helm, it’s going to take a lot of shoe-horning to squeeze climate change in as the biggest movement in history while the real alarm felt by the masses is the one that comes from the spread of radical Islam, corrupt governments and crashing economies. Meanwhile, Gore’s Why? Why Not? initiative can be answered simply: Because the shifty Greens exchanged pollution for fake man-made climate change the minute they discovered that it was a lot more lucrative. They dumped their pollution on the masses while they make money for more yachts, mansions and jet-setting world travel. It’s time for a new slogan: ‘Save the Environment..from Strong, Gore, Obama and their ilk’.
