Justin Trudeau jokes about war and Canada’s military

Justin Trudeau jokes about war and Canada’s military
It is no secret Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is not overly concerned with the terrorism now threatening the West. While being interviewed a couple of hours after the Boston Marathon bombing, he was asked his opinion on it. At that time none of the facts of the explosions were known. A grownup would have declined to answer. Yet Trudeau, without knowing the “who” or the “why” said we must examine the root causes as to what made the perpetrators do what they did. An extremely immature answer.
Trudeau responded with sometimes conflicting statements after the US and other countries began bombing ISIS in Iraq and Syria. No matter what he said, the Liberal leader showed no concern for the thousands of Christians, Yazidis, and Muslims who do not accept radical Islam who are being brutally slaughtered while women are being raped and enslaved. The fact these killings include the beheadings of babies and children seem to have no effect on him. Although more will likely be known today, Canada is considering its options. Trudeau is against Canada participating in the bombing. According to him, Canada’s role should be confined to training. In other words, it is okay with him to train the Iraqis and the Kurds to kill terrorists but not for the Canadian military to take part in a war against an enemy that poses a threat to our country. He is against Canada joining other countries in bombing the ISIS stronghold. Like a true lefty, Trudeau believes in peacekeeping missions. He wants his country to provide humanitarian aid and keep the peace. Unfortunately, it has not occurred to him to there is no peace to keep. And humanitarian aid will do nothing to stop the killing, torturing and raping. Speaking at a meeting of the progressive think tank Canada 2020 yesterday, the Liberal leader said of Canada’s involvement in the Middle East, “Why aren’t we talking about the kind of humanitarian aid that Canada can and must be engaged in, rather than trying to whip out our CF-18s and show them how big they are? It just doesn’t work like that in Canada.”

Cheap shot at the men and women in the Canadian Forces

This was nothing more than a cheap shot at the men and women in the Canadian Forces as well as making fun of an extremely serious situation. The worst part of what he said is that to anyone who no longer spends time playing in an elementary school yard at recess, it wasn’t even funny. This is not the first time the Liberal leader joked about a serious foreign policy issue. In February, when he was asked if Canada should provide more aid to Ukraine, Trudeau quipped that Russia invaded Ukraine because the Russians were in a bad mood after they lost at hockey at the Winter Olympics. Reactions to Trudeau’s whipping it out statement were swift. The Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement saying what Trudeau said was disrespectful of members of the Canadian Forces and made light of ISIS that has not only committed atrocities but has made direct threats against Canada. To think of members of Canada’s military put themselves in harm’s way just to whip things out is disgusting.

Trudeau's view of war matches those of his father who spent time during World War II riding a motorcycle around Quebec wearing a Nazi uniform

Trudeau's view of war matches those of his father who spent time during World War II riding a motorcycle around Quebec wearing a Nazi uniform to try and convince people the Germans had invaded. At least Pierre had grown up by the time he reached his 40s and invoked the War Measures Act in response to the FLQ in Quebec in 1970. While that decision is open to criticism, at least Papa Pierre did something rather than make crude, insulting and childish jokes about the use of force. Justin Trudeau is 42 years of age. He is middle aged. He is not a kid but he acts like one and is portrayed as such by his critics. He seems more concerned about his hair and showing off his body to members of the opposite sex than about complex problems facing Canada. It is too easy to write the man boy off as simply being soft on terrorism and sympathetic to Islamic fundamentalists, although his concern for root causes and visits to extremist mosques are telling. The reality is he is simply too immature to lead a one man parade let alone a nation. Trudeau has led a sheltered life, his only real experience prior to entering politics was as a part-time drama teacher. And when he became an MP, he was constantly told by his fans (he doesn’t have supporters; much like the Kardashians, he has fans) that he was the only hope to save Canada from the clutches of that evil Stephen Harper. Trudeau lacks the street smarts and the real life experience to understand there is evil in the world that has to be stopped. And he lacks the intellect to understand the complex area of foreign affairs. So he ends up making insulting jokes about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and making light of the brutality of the Islamic State. There is no doubt, Trudeau does not know enough to realize how his crude joke about whipping out the CF-18s, was insulting. He is way too immature to know that. Justin Trudeau is not fit to become prime minister of Canada. It is not a matter of ideology, but of a complete lack of comprehension of the world around him and the dangers Canada faces. If progressives really want to get rid of Harper, at least the NDP’s Tom Mulcair is an adult.
