I just read the article by Jim Fox about the Canadian Liberal party’s opposition to entering the war against ISIS. Back in the sixties the liberals were given a title label that pretty much described their belief. It went, “rather be red than dead.” Today, that decades-old belief has been taken to a higher level. Now it’s, “I’d rather be dead.”
I understand why the forces necessary to defeat terrorism cannot be mustered. Simply put, the nations of the free world, and not without good cause, do not trust president obama. (omission of capital letters intentional) They’re afraid he will do to them what he has continually done before, desert them after they’ve committed to the effort. But they are forgetting one extremely important fact. They must, even if standing alone, go after this evil force. To not do so will mean the eventual end of not only America and Europe, but also Canada. No one, except the corporate entities that gain financially like to go to war. And I sincerely believe that outside of WWII, and possibly Korea.
America’s wars have been financial endeavors, rather than a matter of principles like belief in freedom and democracy. But now, this is entirely different. What we’re seeing today is the modern day version of the Holy Wars of long, long ago. The Christian, free nations of the world are now once again fighting for survival. Anyone who loves freedom has no choice but to fight. To not do so is like the guy who kept feeding the tiger so he wouldn’t eat him until last. Still in all, after all the others were eaten, the tiger did eat him. Oh, for sure, the end came later, after all the others who could have joined together and killed the tiger were dead. But the end for the guy who kept feeding, it still came. If every nation in the free world does not stand together and fight this tiger it will surely eat them. Forget Obama, because of him, America might be eaten last, although I doubt it.
P.S. I wonder if anyone has ever considered the possibility that Obama is not only a Muslim, but also the real life Manchurian Candidate? After reading and observing every one of his policies, actions and inactions, I’m past the point of considering that possibility. In my own heart and mind, I know.
