Nancy Pelosi's having quite a day. First, she denied the existence of the GOP wave in last Tuesday's midterm. Now, we've gotten word that she's denying any knowledge of ObamaCare architect Johnathan Gruber. Obviously, you know Gruber as the arrogant MIT professor who helped write the Democrats' health care legislation. You also know him as a guy appearing in an increasingly large collection of videos in which he admits the law was built on lies and voter stupidity.
Nancy, on the other hand, doesn't know him at all. She claims she has no idea who he is, and that he didn't help write the law in question.
As Washington Post reporter Sean Sullivan revealed via Twitter:
You can't blame Democrats for wanting to distance themselves from a man who claims the President's "signature legislation" only passed because it was written to trick the CBO as well as the American people. He's obviously revealing a politically toxic truth.
However, Nancy has a problem. If you're going to deny knowing who someone is, and are claiming they had nothing to do with your bill, you might not want to quote that person on your own website.
In case, Ms. Pelosi feels she needs to take the page down for "editing" or something, here's a screen capture from Ms. Pelosi's 2009 ObamaCare "myth buster":
There's more at Pelosi's site, but you get the gist.
We'd like to congratulate Ms. Pelosi on offering up what may be her most transparent, easily disproven lie yet. Considering her long history of fabrication, that's an impressive feat.
