Perhaps the time has come for all good black Americans to change their leaders; their Sharptons, their Jacksons and others by replacing the latter for true leaders that attend to the persisting problems that plague black communities

The Ferguson Charade--Part II

The Ferguson Charade
At approximately 8:15 p.m., on Monday, November 25th, 2014, St. Louis County prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch began his news conference at a courthouse in Clayton, Mo., by expressing his sympathies for Michael Brown's family, noting that they lost a loved one to violence. On August 9th, Brown had been shot dead by police officer Darren Wilson, presumably, while using justifiable deadly-force in the line of duty as he defended himself from a life-threatening attack by Brown, pursuant to the latter committing a strong-arm robbery just minutes prior to his killing.
Ferguson Charade--Part I In the long-awaited conference to deliver the grand jury's verdict on officer's Wilson probable cause for a criminal indictment, a nation-wide audience listened as Mr. McCulloch went out of his way in explaining the events leading to Brown's shooting, while at the end, making the announcement that the 12-member grand jury panel secretly charged with rendering the final judgment, had made their decision to acquit officer Darren Wilson on all five indictment alternatives, to wit: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter or no charges at all. To be sure, in this last instance, [no charges], the decision also meant that officer Wilson was justified in shooting the decedent for fear of his life and/or acting in self-defense. McCulloch's congenial mastery of deliverance was such that the controversial announcement of the decision went seemingly unnoticed by most of those long-awaiting the ruling. Such was the prevailing calm and unruffled atmosphere when the decision was first made public, that many of us were honestly misled into believing that the countless pleas preceding the grand jury's outcome made by leaders of the community, including the Brown family, the governor of Missouri and the president of the United States for a non-violent and peaceful acceptance of the ruling, regardless of which side the legal pendulum would swing to, had indeed been gracefully complied with - an ultimate indication, one might have speculated, that we were, at last, reaching some kind of forever longed-for racial maturity -- whatever that meant. No sooner had we delved into our wishful-thinking mode, however, no sooner did we all begin to realize that our well-wished-for maturity would, in fact, turn into, as I once claimed in my earlier blog regarding the Ferguson controversy, the same old encrypted model perversely adapted to a racially over-charged nation, which, for years now has thrived on such events such as Michael Brown's death, and Trayvon Martin's before him, as idyllically fitted to further the racial divide now separating blacks and whites in our homeland.

I also lay blame for the Ferguson riots on a great majority of white Americans for their political correctness

We are all very familiar with the model. In fact, we know it by heart; you know, the rioting, the looting, the destruction of private and innocent peoples' property or otherwise, the breaking of the law repeats itself over and over - a most hypocritical double-standard at that; on the one hand, the make-believe soap-opera pretending to honor the memory of a fallen hero, and, on the other...actions which serve but to desecrate and despoil such memory-- an unheard of travesty if you ask me, courtesy of the Al Sharptons, the Jesse Jacksons, the American Civil Liberties Union [ACLU], the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now [A.C.O.R.N.], the Black Panthers, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People [NAACP], the Rainbow Push Coalition, the National Urban League [NUL], and the many others individuals and organizations, bantering racial equality as a mainstay mission for their toxic agendas, designed exclusively to perpetuate racial divide as a self-serving means for their own preservation, albeit, as some of their most popular leaders attempt to masquerade their hate-filled platforms under the 'Reverend' banner as though to temper public opinion under a more subdued aura of religious provenance. I do feel bad for a great majority of good blacks Americans, as I dare say, the law-breakers are, in fact, a patent minority, who, probably, care little or nothing at all for Brown or Martin as they portentously go on showing the world, their lack of respect for the laws of the land while tainting the image of a righteous majority of blacks. The culprits are, I dare say, that same clan of militant agitators, who have always been there using Civil unrest as the principal means of leading the nation to Barack Obama's infamous commitment of fundamentally transforming the United States of America made on Tuesday, November 4th, election eve, 2008. I also lay blame for the Ferguson riots on a great majority of white Americans for their political correctness; a political correctness faithfully adopted as our only means of dealing with the 'reverse' racism now plaguing the nation; a political correctness which has gone as far as sanctifying those blatantly thriving to disenfranchise themselves from their heritage while swiftly changing to the African-American banner as a means of subrogating their birthrights for that of another nation, all the while as we 'whites', give our blessings to the subrogation. Shame on us. These are, mind you, the very same whites who continue to allow intellectual midgets such as Sharpton and Jackson to incite crowds in Ferguson, Missouri, and Sanford, Florida; inciting them to conduct their trials of mis-justice in the courts of public opinion, with absolutely no regard whatsoever for the rule-of-law of the land. It is not entirely these white apologist's fault but more of the rest of us, instead, due mainly to our barefaced fears of colliding with unrest such as that now seen in Ferguson. It is the rest of us whites' fault as we spinelessly let a character of Al Sharpton's stature serve as a host on MSNBC - giving this charlatan a right to use America's airwaves to disparagingly dispense his continued pap-diatribes to America. I chuckle on some of the parodies that have followed in the Ferguson aftermath, as I did in the Trayvon Martin incident when I see some of the more intellectual blacks in America, such as the lead attorney for the Brown family, Mr. Benjamin Crump, criticize the indictment process and the St. Louis County grand jury's decision not to charge Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, saying during a press conference while standing next to Mr. Sharpton: "This process is broken". I venture to say to Mr. Crump that his idea of a system that works would probably be one in which thugs in America, black or white alike are legally allowed to bully a police officer, threatening to kill him and, literally "getting-away-with-murder", while we lay blame on the officer just to satisfy the public opinion of an unruly minority - the makings of an anarchic state, such as we now find in many third-world countries. It is avertedly embarrassing that someone presumably owning a law degree in this country, can, instead, argue the law of the land exclusively on the premise of a racially biased opinion, arguably lending support to the boisterous Ferguson riots - quite a double standard, as pleas were made both by Mr. Crump and the Brown family for peaceful demonstrations. There are a few reminders I should bring to the attention of Mr. Crump and all those in support of the proposed witch-hunt and lynching of officer Darren Wilson. To all those who continue trying to make a case against the latter, in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, first and foremost, may I remind you that, for good or bad, ours is a country where the rule-of-law prevails - that is what separates us from many other countries in the world. Ours is a system of laws which has no room for 'racism' and/or 'racial' issues to precede over justice, other than to bringing equality to the judicial system. I cannot help but to remind Mr. Crump, that "our broken [indictment] process" was, in fact, able to filter out many of the eye-witness accounts, later found to be total fabrications. With the aid of your own 'African-Americans' [blacks], our grand jury was able to conclude that, Mr. Brown was neither shot in the back as originally claimed, nor was he shot while pulling-up his arms as a sign of surrendering, nor any of the other cock-and-bull stories manufactured for the sole and exclusive objective of switching 'blames'. I should remind Mr. Crump and all the Brown supporters, including but not limited to the Brown family that, the evidence in this case was so insurmountable, that, it left white apologists but with no other alternatives than to acquit officer Wilson of the charges. Notwithstanding the fact that there were, if you will, all sorts of extemporaneous pressures exerted from key political figures such as the president of the United States, the ex-Attorney General Eric Holder and Mr. Jay Nixon, the fickle governor of the state of Missouri, to criminally charge officer Wilson with the death of Michael Brown, however, the evidence of the officer's innocence and/or his justifiable use of deadly force was so incontrovertible, mind you, leaving no options whatsoever, none, to criminally charge the officer, thus the need for the lies and the fabrications. Had there been a smidgeon of evidence to the contrary; anything whatsoever to support the court of public opinion's biased position, I can assure you, officer Wilson would have been made Ferguson's scapegoat and you can go to the bank on that. I shall close my dissertation today, by offering to you, my readers some plausible solutions to the racial problems that still persist to this day in our nation - problems, which, I dare say, I don't foresee going away anytime soon; that is, unless both sides to the issues, blacks and whites alike, work jointly to address these issues. First, I do not believe there is one solution alone, as the issues are diversified, thus no one cure for it all. As to 'blacks', may I politely remind you, just in case you have forgotten, that it was us, a 52% of the nation's voters, mostly whites, who elected a 'black' president in 2008 - a true indication of the racial progress made by the nation since the Martin Luther King days of the 1960s. It is not the 'white' peoples' fault that, this black president, has really done so poorly, taking the nation to never-before seen 'lows'. It is not the white peoples' fault, that our economy is in shambles nor that the United States has become the laughing stock in the grand scheme of international politics as ISIS became a powerful terrorist force in the world; and, as Russia re-emerges as a contending enemy once again and we become more dependent on China than ever before in history. All the while as Americans subject themselves ever so much to the whims of a 'closet' dictator, condescendingly willing to enact immigration laws without going to the Congress of the United States. In spite of the apparent great strides made by electing a black man to the highest post of the land, there are other issues as well, still, that need to be worked on by both blacks and whites. It is time, I think, that blacks come to the realization that there are, in fact, issues which only blacks can resolve. According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Report of 2013, 93% of blacks are killed by other blacks. We often listen to the lame arguments regarding 'statistics' of black vs. white crime in America, nonetheless, the fact is that, according to the U.S.'s Department of Justice in a report made on 2009, approximately 12%-13% of the American population is black but they make up 40% of the almost 2.1 million males incarcerated. Perhaps, this explains the presumably higher incidence of crimes amongst blacks - again, a lame argument often boasting the prevalent disparity of white vs. black crime in the nation. Another major issue which blacks need to deal with is the fact that more than 72% of children in black communities are born out of wedlock - a highly worrisome statistic, lacking any white blame whatsoever. These are just some of the issues which are, indeed, 'black' issues, per say -- issues, which only blacks and blacks alone can and should address. As far as whites are concerned, we too, can be a part of the solution as opposed to a part of the problem. Admittedly, white supremacy has been one of the darkest chapters in the history of the nation paving the way for some of the ongoing racial rifts now inflicting society today. There is, however, absolutely no reason whatsoever for accepting some of the 'reverse' racism which came about from the guilt carried as a nation in years prior. Neither extreme is healthy, nor do two 'wrongs' make a 'right'. White's political correctness, more often than not, is applied in lieu of the guilt and culpability that preceded it. We [whites] have, in fact, gone from oppressors to, at times, oppressed, such as all the times when we graciously allow the Al Sharptons, the Jesse Jacksons and the Jeremiah Wrights of America to spurge their militant divisionism, as we all stand-by, nodding with cynical approval. We can still strive to pursue equality, yet this does not necessarily mean we should forfeit our integrity while doing so. There are, if you will, unacceptable conducts of behavior; conducts which should not be subjected to racial interpretations and / or otherwise use 'race' issues as [the] determining criteria for passing judgment on incidents such as we have seen in the Ferguson case. There are no reasons whatsoever for the deaths of young Americans, blacks or whites at the hands of justice, were it not for the fact that violent deaths itself are typically a byproduct of crime. Vis-à-vis, then, by trampling crime, we would be, in essence, trampling the untimely deaths of young men --blacks or whites alike. Respectfully, I share-in the loss of the Brown family with the respect owed anyone who has suffered such a loss, however, I do remind the Browns and all good black Americans in our nation that Michael Brown, may he rest in peace, chose to break the law of the land, for which, in the end, he paid the ultimate price. Perhaps the time has come for all good black Americans to change their leaders; their Sharptons, their Jacksons and others by replacing the latter for true leaders that attend to the persisting problems that plague black communities. All in all, blacks would be better served by having new leaders address the persisting problems now plaguing them. As for whites, it would serve us all well to begin re-inventing our political correctness so as not to let ourselves be swayed to extreme opposites, as the latter will only serve to prolong racism, if only in a reversed version of the latter.
