It should cause all Americans concern when citizens of Cuban decent, including high level politicians are openly disagreeing with the new policies on Cuba.

For those families who escaped the oppressive regime and who have relatives still on the island the memories are fresh and the fear real. I have not heard, in any of the speeches given by the President, an articulation of the goals, objectives and expected results. It seems like a big announcement with little to back it up. I would like to hear how this will change the lives of poor Cubans. I'd like to hear how the United States will benefit. I'd like to hear how we intend to control the security of south Florida. The fact that Cuban Americans are rallying against the new relationship is telling. I believe that those who lived through Castro coming to power are our best experts on the subject. Thank you and Merry Christmas Verna Rock
