Here we go: Scott Walker's committee releases first campaign ad - takes a shot at retread candidates

Yesterday, Dan told you that Scott Walker had filed the necessary paperwork to launch his "Our American Revival" committee. That was the first step in his 2016 presidential bid. As it is with most politicians, step two is an ad designed to introduce the candidate.

Today, Our American Revival released their first spot. America, the ad argues, is in decline. It "Stands on the brink. At a time and place in our history where failed leaders preside over a nation adrift. With family incomes in steady decline. Dreams stifled, and a foreign policy that apologizes for America and projects weakness abroad." It then takes direct aim at the Dems' presumptive nominee (as well as the GOP's field of establishment golden oldies) by claiming that "America can't stop this by looking to the past or for answers in Washington D.C." A focus on states' rights, innovation, and eliminating federal dependence? Refreshing. Enjoy: By the way, Walker's closing line - "In America, we take a day off to celebrate the Fourth of July, and not the Fifteenth of April, because in America we celebrate our independence from the government, not our dependence on it" - is pure campaign gold.
