Van Jones suddenly worried about 'racist' GOP's diverse and exciting 2016 bench

Whether he's serving as Obama's "Green Jobs Czar," or shlubbing it as a left-wing commentator, Van Jones has been consistent in one thing. Everyone he disagrees with is a racist. The Tea Party is racist, gun owners are racist, cops are racists, Mitt Romney's campaign was racist, Donald Trump is a racist, Ted Nugent is a racist, Ted Cruz is a racist, and - of course - the core of the GOP is comprised of racists seeking to hang on to their white privilege.

Suddenly, though, things have changed. Van Jones is no longer worried about the GOP's racism. In fact, he's fearful of the exact opposite. The Republicans' 2016 is young, deep, and diverse. According to Jones, it's "beginning to look like the rainbow coalition." Democrats should be "very worried" about that, probably because they seem to be pinning all their hopes on a field of elderly white people and a fake Cherokee... First of all: I'm not sure why Van Jones can't tell Herman Cain and Dr. Ben Carson apart. There's probably a joke there but we won't make it, because we're not racists. Second: How is it possible that so many minority GOP candidates appear to be doing so well when, as Jones has previously indicated, their party is a safe harbor for America's bigots? Heck, for the last year people have been clamoring for a Ben Carson run. That seems like odd behavior for a political organization which Jones would have you believe is just a notch above the Klan. Perhaps it's possible that Mr. Jones problem isn't the GOP at all. Maybe he's concerned more about self-preservation than the next election. All he has is his race-baiting shtick. When it fails, he'll be put out to pasture. Could it be that Mr. Jones saw the following picture and realized that his own party is rendering his gimmick obsolete? Van Jones suddenly worried about 'racist' GOP's diverse and exciting 2016 bench Nah.
