Politics: U.S. Congressman visits Temple Mount - is greeted by Muslim women screaming 'allahu akbar'

On February 18th, Congressman Dennis Ross (R-FL) visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. There, he was harassed by a cadre of Islamic women who wandered around screaming “Allahu Akbar” and the Arabic word for “leave.”
Various outlets are claiming that the women are, in fact, always there and are paid by Hamas to pester "undesirables" who visit the site. To be fair, The Temple Institute (who released the clip) is not exactly an unbiased party either. Still, the video shows what it shows, and the attitude of these women is pretty obvious. Here's the accompanying statement released by the Institute, including a quote from the Congressman:
Published on Feb 25, 2015: Republican Congressman Dennis Ross (FL-15) visited the Temple Mount on February 18, 2015. The video clip clearly shows groups of fully covered female Muslim agitators following and harassing the Congressman and his group with calls of: “Allah Akbar” and “Leave!” among other things. The Congressman spent a full hour on the mount accompanying a group of Jewish visitors led by Yitzchak Reuven of the Temple Institute, during which he experienced anti-Jewish discrimination firsthand. He was witness to Jewish groups being separated and subjected to excessive security checks, then followed closely by Islamic Waqf guards to ensure that they don’t partake in any form of prayer or non-Muslim worship. The group had to wait for over an hour before being allowed entry to the Holy Site, during which time hundreds of tourists ascended with ease. In addition the congressman’s son was taken into a private room and body searched to ensure that he wasn’t in possession of any religious paraphernalia. When asked on camera, how he felt about the strange welcome he received, the Congressman responded: “It’s a little bit of a different reception than what I am used to, but coming from a country that respects freedom of religion we respect what they are doing.”
...And that's where he loses me. There's no reason to "respect" what these women are doing. This location is of tremendous religious significance to Muslims, Jews, AND Christians. If you want to visit the site, and you abide by its rules, I don't care if you're a Catholic, a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddhist, or a freaking Scientologist. There's no reason you should have to endure harassment from the "religion of peace." Heck, if you're an atheist archaeologst - and you completely reject the very concept of God - they should shut up and let you enjoy the architecture. ...But then again, they're not big on that whole "turning the other cheek" thing.
