What does it say about Joe Biden (and the President he served) that there's so little enthusiasm for his potential candidacy?

The 'Draft Joe Biden' super PAC is a thing that actually exists

They're "Ready for Hillary." They're also "Ready for Warren." Some of them are "ready for O'Malley." But is anyone ready for poor, old, lonely, Vice President Joe Biden? Apparently, somebody is.
We know this not because we hear people chanting "Run Joe Run" in the streets, but because the "Draft Joe Biden" Super PAC is a thing that actually exists. As the Washington Post reports:
The Draft Joe Biden super PAC is finally here, formally filing with the Federal Election Commission last week. And it’s hiring an “experienced fundraising consultant” to catch up. The job announcement posted on the Google group “JobsthatareLEFT” seeks someone who has worked the money side in at least two campaigns, better if they were federal. You need a “proven track record in fundraising,” as well as specific experience raising money online. You have to manage donor relations and put together a plan “with the end goal of a consistent revenue stream.”
Why do they want Joe to run? Well, isn't it obvious? It's because Joe's the best!

“There’s talk about how weak the Democratic bench is supposed to be in 2016. We don’t have a weak bench. We just need to get the best people into the race, and one of the very best is Vice President Biden.” said Will Pierce, organizing director of Draft Joe Biden. “Just take a look at the polls. Voters are tired of dynasties in American politics, and certainly want an election instead of a coronation. The house of Bush and the house of Clinton have had their run, and looking towards the future, Vice President Joe Biden is uniquely suited to tackle the issues America will face over the next decade.”
In case you missed it, that "coronation" comment was a shot at presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton - a woman who's PAC has around $12 Million in its coffers. That stacks up favorably to Joe Biden's PAC, which probably has the change in Joe's pocket and a job opening for someone who promises to get them more. Oh. I almost forgot. They have something else. They have a weird little website. If you're a big Biden Fan, you can head on over and sign their petition, which seeks to drum up support by offering an underwhelming answer to the "Why Biden" question.
"Why Biden? Quite simply, WHY NOT BIDEN? As one of the calming forces and charming presences in the White House, Vice President Joe Biden has been front and center in playing a significant role in many of the important successful political events of the past few years."
As a slogan, "Hey, why not Joe?" is going to look great on T-shirts and bumper stickers. The petition goes on to offer the following:
We, the undersigned, believe the 2016 election will be one of the most momentous and important in our lifetimes. Everything you and President Obama have done for this country the past six years could be torn to shreds if the GOP takes the White House. This is your, and Barack Obama’s legacy on the line and we believe you can’t leave it to others to defend it. You cannot leave it for others to finish the work. The job is yours to do. There are so many accomplishments and yet so much left to be done: climate change, infrastructure, gun safety, immigration reform, education… and the list is just beginning. It is for these, and many other reasons that we are asking you to run for the democratic nomination in 2016. You have the experience, the accomplishments and are the most in touch with ordinary Americans: the Averages “Joes.” You are the fighter we need to preserve the gains of the past six years and continue the country forward on this path.
So far, Biden has declined to comment on the nascent "draft Joe" campaign, but the people who are "ready for Joe" should ask themselves this: When was the last time a group of people had to beg a sitting Vice President to run for the top job? Usually, if you're the VP to a two-term President, you're a lock for a spot in - at the very least - the primaries. What does it say about Joe Biden (and the President he served) that there's so little enthusiasm for his potential candidacy?
