Heads up to the unsuspecting people of India: The liars of the U.S. State Department have taken it upon themselves to teach “ethics” to your nation’s upcoming journalists. Don’t get caught up in the controversy that it “has even proposed appropriating the name of Robin Thicke’s 2013 hit “Blurred Lines” as a title for the course.
It’s not the name of the course, that could just as easily be called “Liars like us”, but what the course is teaching that’s the clear and present danger: “The U.S. State Department is looking to design and facilitate a media ethics course for journalists in India, and has even proposed appropriating the name of Robin Thicke's 2013 hit "Blurred Lines" as a title for the course. (Weekly Standard, April 20, 2015)
“The U.S. consulate general in Hyderabad, India is looking for a non-profit to co-develop the course to help Indian journalists gain a "baseline understanding of the international industry standards," including "accuracy, honesty, transparency, impartiality, and accountability," and is willing to spend $20,000 - $25,000 on it. “The grant documents note that credibility is a key part of journalists' jobs to "keep their readership informed, hold us all accountable, filter fact from fiction, and unmask false narratives masquerading as truth." To that end, the State Department would like a full-time faculty member to propose curriculum content and develop a syllabus tailored to communicate journalistic standards to an Indian university audience. Additionally, the grant calls for a "U.S.-based, university-level journalism professor," suggested by the non-profit subject to approval by the State Department, to act as consultant in the development of the course. “Once the course preparation is complete, the journalism professor will visit India at least three times: to meet with the coordinating university in India and "observe existing on-the-job training in various media houses," to conduct a three day seminar for other stakeholders, and to participate in first offering of the newly-designed course. The grant specifies that both the accommodations for the professor and the venue for the seminar must be a four-star hotel.”

In America, “accuracy, honesty, transparency, impartiality, and accountability," went out the day Obama came in. The truth that kept America on the road to liberty and freedom went out of sight over the horizon. Many say it exited stage left. On Obama’s watch the mainstream media in America became a laughable toothless poodle press. A recent example of how poodle like it’s become: At an event last month honoring “excellence in journalism”, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who was keynote speaker announced ahead of the event that she would not be taking reporter’s questions. There were no complaints from the journalists receiving awards at the March 23 Toner Prize Celebration and Clinton was paid a handsome speaker’s fee to boot. The event took place when Clinton was embroiled in a controversy surrounding her exclusive use of personal email addresses while she served as secretary of state. “According to The New York Times, this may have violated federal guidelines and could have left state secrets vulnerable on an unsecure server. Both Clinton’s email issue and her alleged avoidance of the press have fueled criticism she is insufficiently transparent.” (Business Insider, March 5, 2015) For those in both America and India wondering how a single regime could come along, swallow the truth whole, and regurgitate it as propaganda, well, that’s what Marxism does. And now Google, the world’s largest search engine, has thrown in with the Obama marxists. Having claimed the truth as theirs--and only theirs--Google has morphed into the new Yellow Brick Road with a magical palace where all truth is kept under lock and key, to be portioned out only when it’s GOOGLE TRUTH. In any case, that’s Google’s story and they’re sticking to it--at least until Hillary Clinton is president. Meanwhile, mothers of India: Don’t let them do to the largest democracy in the world what they’re doing and getting away with in the United States of America.
