Global Warming to replace Gospel at church

The New Green Religion of Global Warming/Climate Change is coming out of the closet to begin preaching from the pulpit.

In the lib-left world timing is everything. Now that Christianity is being persecuted worldwide with the many slings and arrows sent its way flashing out in neon, it's time for 'sustainability' to squeeze out Salvation at Sunday church services.

"The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is spending $84,000 to study how churches can be used to combat climate change. (Washington Free Beacon, April 27, 2015)

"A taxpayer-funded graduate fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is examining 17 faith-based institutions that have implemented "sustainability initiatives" in the hopes of developing workshops to teach pastors and other religious leaders how to change the behaviors of their congregants.

"Climate change--which affects traditional faith-based efforts to improve human health, mitigate poverty and redress social inequity--is inspiring religious organizations to advocate for clean air and water, restore ecosystems, and conserve resources," a grant for the project, which began last fall, states.

"This project seeks to understand the empirical experiences of faith-based environmental efforts within communities." "Through what motivations and processes do congregation level sustainability initiatives emerge?" the grant asks.

"What factors facilitate and/or hinder implementation of these initiatives? What environmental and community outcomes are perceived to have been achieved through these initiatives?" "

The results will provide insights into the role of religion and faith communities in motivating environmental behavior," it said.

"The project, "Sustainability at the Community Level: The Role of Faith-Based Organizations," is scheduled to last through September 2016.

"The project sees churches and other religious institutions as an opportunity to reach millions of Americans and promote "more environmentally sustainable behaviors."

"More Americans belong to religious groups than any other type of voluntary association and faith communities play an important role in facilitating the kind of social transitions that are necessary as the nation responds to climate change," the grant said, under the section "Potential to Further Environmental/Human Health Protection."

"This research has potential to provide models of practice that may help faith communities seeking pathways to respond to climate change, as well as informing policies and programs intended to promote more environmentally sustainable behaviors," it said. "The data also will be used to develop workshops to assist faith leaders in implementing sustainability initiatives within their congregations."

"The grant is tagged under "climate change, environmental justice, and faith communities."

"The rationale behind the project is that there is a lack of research on why "particular activities arise in specific faith communities," such as environmental causes.

"Preliminary analysis suggests that successful initiatives follow similar processes of organizational innovation that integrate sustainability into faith-community social norms, thereby creating expectations for collective and individual behavior," the grant said.

"The congregations undertaking these initiatives are reducing resource consumption and improving local environmental conditions while also increasing their organizational membership," it added. "The data and analytical framework developed for this project are adaptable for future research into environmental behavior by members of faith-based organizations."

"EPA Deputy Press Secretary Laura Allen told the Free Beacon that the research aims to be a resource for churches on how best to fight climate change.

"The funding supports one doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan," she said. "The student is researching efforts by faith-based communities to implement and maintain sustainability initiatives. The student's research is intended to be a resource for faith-based organizations to determine the best actions to take to combat harmful impacts from climate change."

"If any workshops occur, they would be developed by the University of Michigan student receiving the fellowship, not EPA," Allen added."

"Update 1:45 P.M.: This post was updated to include comment from EPA, which responded following publication of the article. The subhead was also updated to clarify that the researcher would be developing the workshops, and not the EPA directly." -

Sustainability pushers Maurice Strong, Al Gore, and Mikhail Gorbachev

Sustainability pushers Maurice Strong, Al Gore, and Mikhail Gorbachev must be shouting "Al-le-lujah!', their version of "Hallelujah!"

Their goal of getting climate change preached during Sunday sermons at all community churches, has taken a long time.

No one paid attention when sustainability-as-a-concept inventor Maurice Strong joined up with former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev to re-write the Ten Commandments. Most took their arrogant Earth Charter--carted about in a gilt covered knockoff of the Ark of the Covenant as some kind of sick joke. Few realized back then that the Earth Charter in an Ark was the beginning of the takeover of the church by a new Gaia-inspired religion.

You can't make this stuff up (The Earth Charter's Unholy Ark, Berit Kjos, 2002):

"The Ark of Hope -- built to carry the Earth Charter -- fits this agenda well. In contrast to the original Ark of the Covenant which housed the Ten Commandments, today's imitation mocks God's truth and honors the world's spiritual alternatives. Now on a pilgrimage to inspire reverence for the earth and support for global socialism, this profane replica brings new images and affirmations to the UN call for an earth-centered spirituality. The Earth Charter's Unholy Ark-Berit Kjos, 2002).

"At first glance, the new Ark looks just like the familiar depictions of the Old Testament Ark of the Covenant. A 49" x 32" x 32" wooden chest with carrying rods on each side, it brings to mind the Israelites forty-year journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the promised land. Back then, God was teaching His precious people to understand His holiness and their need for uncompromising purity before Him. Only the Levites could carry the Ark, and this select tribe could only lift the ark by the attached poles. Nothing profane or unholy could touch God's sacred ark, for it signified His glorious presence among His people. Aside from their shape and name, the two arks have little in common. The website for the Ark of Hope tells us that "the 96" carrying poles are unicorn horns which render evil ineffective.

"Apparently, the ark's message is based, in part, on a Harry Potter-like faith in earthy magic and benevolent occultism."

Strong-Gore carbon credit scheme

Next, countries worldwide were encouraged to participate in the Strong-Gore carbon credit scheme.

"There's always been an elephant in global warming's living room that few in the mainstream media ever wanted the masses to know about: The creators of the carbon credit scheme are the very ones cashing in on it. (Canada Free Press, March 13, 2007)

"The two choirboys singing loudest in the Holier Than Thou Global Warming Cathedral were always Maurice Strong and Al Gore.

"This duo has done more than anyone else to advance the alarmism of man-made global warming.

"With little media monitoring, both Strong and Gore long ago cashed in on the lucrative cottage industry known as man-made global warming.

"Strong is on the board of directors of the Chicago Climate Exchange, Wikipedia-described as "the world's first and North America's only legally binding greenhouse gas emission registry reduction system for emission sources and offset projects in North America and Brazil."

"Gore buys his carbon off-sets from himself--the Generation Investment Management LLP, "an independent, private, owner-managed partnership established in 2004 with offices in London and Washington, D.C." of which he is both chairman and founding partner.

"To hear the saving-the-earth singsong of this dynamic duo, even the feather light petals of cherry blossoms in Washington leave a bigger carbon footprint than necessary. "It's a strange global warming partnership that Strong and Gore have, but it's one that's working.

"Strong is the silent partner, a man whose name often draws a blank in the Washington cocktail circuit. Even though a former Secretary General of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (the much hyped Rio Earth Summit) and Under-Secretary General of the United Nations in the days of a beleaguered Kofi Annan, the Canadian-born Strong is little known in the United States. That's because he spends most of his time in China where he works to make the communist country the world's next superpower. The nondescript Strong, nonetheless, is big cheese in the world of climate change, and is one of the main architects of the coming-your-way-soon Kyoto Protocol.

"Gore is the glitzy, media approved front man in the partnership, the flashing neon lights on the global stage warning the masses of the end of Earth, as we know it, and Hollywood's poster boy for greening the silver screen.

"Gore, who has given sermons at the United Nations sponsored Cathedral of St. John the Divine Church in New York City, is a promoter of the religion known as Gaia.

"The two environmental gurus also share a belief in radical Malthusian population reduction. According to them, too many people, particularly in the U.S., are polluting the planet, emitting excessive 'Freon' through their refrigerators and jacking up the air conditioning."

Meanwhile, the intrusion of Climate Change in community churches will spread like wildfire.

Going to church will never be the same again.
