Apparently, our president was not taught two of the childhood lessons that most people over 40 were taught.

The lesson of being gracious winners and losers and the lesson of respect for other people and their property. How embarrassing to see our house, the White House, bathed in rainbow colors. Our President was celebrating the triumph of the LBGT community by lighting up the White House. That strikes me as tacky, disrespectful and poor sportsmanship. It felt like a big "in your face" to all the good people who view marriage as a sacred relationship between a man and woman. Moreover, it wasn't necessary. He had made his approval of the decision known in front of every mainstream media outlet in the country. It is disappointing to see our President exhibiting adolescent behavior. All involved in this debate deserved better. John Bryant Rotonda West, FL
