The Million Man Fraud Comes To Washington

Rioting at this weekend's Washington, D.C. gripe-fest celebrating the 20th anniversary of the endlessly hyped, misnamed Million Man March, seems like a definite possibility. Just this week 12 people were arrested in Hartford, Conn., for disorderly conduct after blocking traffic and access to the University of Hartford as they chanted "Black Lives Matter!" After demonstrators refused to stop sitting and standing in the road, they were arrested. While protest-related arrests aren't necessarily cause for much concern, they are just the tip of the iceberg. As Breitbart News reports

Like many Democrat-run cities across the country, Hartford experienced a spike in murders this past summer following the "uprisings" in Ferguson [Missouri] and Baltimore [Maryland] and attacks of police officers by Black Lives Matter activists. As of August, Hartford had the highest homicide rate of any New England city.

The haters from Hartford are headed for Washington, D.C. Members and supporters of Nation of Islam, Black Lives Matter, and a staggering array of militant black nationalist and left-wing hate groups are scheduled to converge on the National Mall on Saturday. The official theme for the event, "Justice or else," which is a bit more concise than the "No justice! No peace!" cry of modern American rioters and looters, seems to foreshadow trouble to come. U.S. Capitol Police wisely issued an advisory to its 1,800 officers warning that Nation of Islam's participation in the march would increase the likelihood of violence at the event. The document stated with complete accuracy that the cultish group's incendiary racist leader, Louis Farrakhan, "has been accused of inciting violence against both Caucasians and police officers." The memo acknowledged that the original Million Man March years ago, which the National Park Service at the time estimated had merely 400,000 in attendance, was not violent, but prudently cautioned that "given today's negative racial climate and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement," the second march this weekend "may not be as peaceful." But in the nation's capital, common sense and forthrightness are career-killers. Political correctness soon forced that police department, which patrols the United States Capitol complex in Washington, D.C., and neighborhoods around it, to tuck tail and walk back the warning.

Capitol Police Chief Kim Dine said the surprisingly controversial warning "does not reflect the viewpoint or values of the United States Capitol Police, nor was it intended to provide instruction or guidance to our employees." Astonishingly, James Konczos, who as president of the police union is supposed to be looking out for the interests of his members, was even more politically correct than Dine. He lambasted the force's leadership for what he called "race-baiting" rhetoric. Ignoring the routine, inflammatory comments by members of Nation of Islam and Black Lives Matter, Konczos told the Washington Post, "You can't have people putting out inflammatory comments and not holding them accountable. We're a professional police organization without professional leadership." "Our officers are well aware of the current problems facing law enforcement, so there was no need for this newsletter to be written, let alone released," Konczos reportedly whined in a letter to police overseers. He absurdly argued that memo, not the march participants themselves, "has not only jeopardized the safety of the officers working the event, but the general public who will be in the area on October 10th." It can be argued that it is a gross dereliction of duty for Konczos to allow his members to be lulled into an unjustified sense of complacency. He ought to be helping them to prepare for the march and protect themselves by providing them a realistic assessment of the dangers they are about to face, but his first priority appears to be pandering to the racial-grievance industry. Black Lives Matter, of course, is no run-of-the mill protest movement. It is a violent, racist, Marxist insurgency that embraces violent attacks on police and white Americans. It is animated by a hatred of normal American values. Its members idolize convicted, unrepentant black militants and cop-killers Assata Shakur and Mumia Abu Jamal and have declared "war" on law enforcement. Black Lives Matter has been welcomed by President Obama at the White House. Even though its supporters have committed violent acts against authorities in recent months, Obama hasn't so much as even gently scolded the movement. Hundreds of delegates at a Democratic National Committee (DNC) convention weeks ago passed a resolution officially endorsing the movement and deploring imagined "extrajudicial killings of unarmed African American men, women and children" by American police officers. Black Lives Matter disciple Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks allegedly murdered white Kentucky State Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder. Failed TV reporter, registered Democrat, and Obama supporter Vester Lee Flanagan II, a.k.a. Bryce Williams, who hailed Black Lives Matter in his manifesto, shot and killed two former white co-workers on live television in Virginia. A black man snuck up on white Houston deputy sheriff Darren Goforth a few weeks ago pumping bullets into him execution-style as he was refueling his squad car at as a gas station. That very day Black Lives Matter demonstrators marched near the Minnesota state fair chanting violent-sounding anti-police slogans and carrying signs reading "End White Supremacy." Activists shouted "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon." Many movement supporters have been investigated or arrested for publicly threatening violence against law enforcement personnel. Every day it seems there is a Black Lives Matter-related civil disturbance somewhere and the movement is no doubt contributing to the rise in lawlessness in big cities. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan is trying to turn up the heat on cops and the political leaders he deems enemies. He wants more free stuff, ranging from education to infrastructure to social services from taxpayers for his followers. He's essentially a louder, racist version of Bernie Sanders with darker skin. A recent radio interview with Farrakhan that was supposed to be about the upcoming march, degenerated into an anti-American rant. Raining down fire and sulfur and  brimstone, Farrakhan declared that the success of Islamic State and the fact that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump is pledging to make America great again are proof that God is judging the U.S. "The battle is on and the plagues are coming down on America," he said. Farrakhan added:

I'm not afraid. But you need to be, and especially when you see what's coming up, because as a man soweth the same shall he also reap. And when you have done the evil that you have done to us and done it to others, did you never think that there would come a day when you would have to pay for all that crap that you have done?

He continued:

Donald Trump "is saying we got to make America great," Farrakhan said.

How? When? Again, because she is not great today. People are not afraid of her. ISIS and ISIL over there, they want America to send some troops back so they can send them back in body bags. People are not afraid. The world has taken enough of America's evil. So death is sweeter to some than continuing to live under white supremacy and under tyranny.

Meanwhile, mosques in the Washington area have reportedly upped security, absurdly claiming the "Justice or else!" themed march will spark an anti-Muslim backlash, a continuing fantasy of the anti-American Left that has never, ever come to pass. They were apparently reacting to a Facebook page labeled "Global Rally for Humanity" that states that "humanity is attacked daily by radical Islam" and that is urging protests in "every country at every Mosque." Some patriot groups plan to picket the mosques and have said they will be armed to protect themselves. Cranky old white guys in pickup trucks aren't exactly an emerging threat to public order. Perhaps the terrorist-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) instructed mosque leaders to make-believe they're scared in order to win public sympathy. And in what looks like a garden-variety left-wing corporate shakedown attempt, something called the Minority Youth Movement (MYMM) plans to show up at the march to protest "the blatant lack of disrespect and bigotry organizations such as NASCAR have exhibited for decades against minorities." The racing franchise allegedly denies minority members "access to the Motorsports industry," whatever that means. These racist, radical groups have to pay the rent somehow.
