Because "no integrity"

Sorry Bernie, Dems don't care if Hillary's a flip-flopper.

For a minute there, it looked like Bernie Sanders might be a something more than a goofy left-wing sideshow. However, it now it's starting to appear that Bernie's brief moment has come and gone. Hillary has cemented herself as the Democrat frontrunner and (barring some kind of shake up) Bernie's cadre of fans is headed for disappointment. That said, Bernie's 15 minutes of fame aren't quite over, and he's doing what he can to draw attention to himself. Basically, that means he's yelling, shouting, and pointing. You might argue that this is nothing new, but he has changed course somewhat. He's gone decidedly negative in recent days as he attacks Hillary for flip-flopping on a host of issues: (video below)

The sad thing is that Bernie genuinely seems to think this will matter. Perhaps he looked at Mitt Romney's 2012 campaign, saw that 3 Million GOP voters stayed home thanks to his waffling, and decided that he could use the same line of attack against Clinton. He's wrong, because - unlike potential Romney voters - the Democrat base doesn't give a damn about Hillary's lying, double-standards, or flip-flops. She has a "D" after her name, and it's "her turn." That's all that matters. If they haven't abandoned her after decades of corruption, there is no sin - no "evolution of opinion" - that could dissuade the Hillary faithful. If you need evidence, simply look at the polling. Americans, including Democrats, overwhelmingly view Hillary as wildly untrustworthy, and yet the majority of left-wing voters say they'll have no problem voting for her in the general. In other words, "Yeah, she's a liar, but hey, she's my liar. So who cares." Hillary's actions and constantly shifting opinions are an affront to anyone with integrity, but that's exactly the point. Those who would line up and eagerly cast a ballot for Mrs. Clinton abandoned concepts like honor, integrity, and truthfulness long ago. We'll say this for Bernie: He may be a socialist crackpot, but at least he's openly willing to admit it and, yes, he's been consistent on the issues. He's wrong about almost everything, but no one can accuse him of shifting in the political wind. It's a shame that doesn't mean anything to the party whose nomination he seeks.
